Business Demands 2: Execution Over Ideas.

In business, ideas are the spark, but execution is the fire that turns sparks into something visible, valuable, and unstoppable.

You see, it’s one thing to have a brilliant idea to dream, strategize, and imagine possibilities but it’s another thing entirely to put that idea to work.

Ever wondered why certain ideas you once had simply faded away?
It’s simple: you never executed them.
You planned, you thought, you talked but you didn’t do.

The Truth About Planning:

Planning is essential, but here’s a reality check, most planning is not execution; it’s often a delay disguised as preparation.
Many people plan so much that their ideas die in the safety of their notebooks.

Ask yourself:
Are you planning to execute, or planning for fate to take control?

Because too many brilliant ideas have perished in the comfort zone of planning.

Clarity Comes After Action:

I’ve learned something that changed the way I work.
Clarity doesn’t always precede action; it often follows it.

You don’t figure everything out before you start; you figure things out while you move.
Execution builds momentum.
Momentum builds confidence.
And confidence sustains belief.

The reason many feel stuck in business isn’t because the idea is wrong. it’s because they haven’t started acting on it.
It’s while you’re doing the work that the idea begins to take shape, evolve, and mature.

Execution is the bridge between what you imagine and what you can measure.

Execution: The Missing Link Between Ideas and Impact.

Every entrepreneur has countless ideas but execution separates the dreamers from the doers.

You want feedback from customers, but you haven’t launched the product.
You want progress, but you haven’t taken the first uncomfortable step.

Ideas don’t build businesses. Execution does.

With execution, you don’t just move ideas forward, you multiply and build them.

Now, I formed an acronym "PMB" which are the Three Dimensions of Execution.

(PMB)
Propels. Multiplies. Builds.

Let’s break it down:

1. Execution Propels:

Execution is the propeller of your ideas.
It pushes dreams off the runway and gives them flight.

Every great business story began with a simple act of doing not waiting for perfection.
Execution transforms abstract imagination into tangible momentum.
It turns "I will" into "I did."

2. Execution Multiplies:

This is where the power of execution truly shines.
Execution multiplies ideas.

Think about Amazon, Dell, or Walmart, their ideas weren’t unheard of.
They sold books, computers, and groceries.
Nothing revolutionary about that.
But what made them extraordinary was how they executed outstandingly, consistently, and strategically.

Each level of execution opened new doors for innovation.
Because when you act on one idea, it breeds more.

Like a writer who only discovers new directions while writing,
an entrepreneur only discovers new opportunities while executing.

You’ll be surprised how much clarity execution gives.
Action expands imagination.

3. Execution Builds:

Execution builds ideas into reality.
It shapes what was once abstract into something measurable and scalable.

Through execution, ideas gain structure, form, and relevance.

No idea is entirely useless. Even a “bad idea” can evolve into something better when acted upon.
Failure during execution often reveals what success truly needs.

So who’s to say what’s a good or bad idea until you’ve tried?
The act of building clarifies what deserves to stand.

Without execution, good ideas remain daydreams.
But with execution, even the simplest idea can transform into something worth millions.

The Harsh Reality.
Ideas are cheap, the world is full of them.
But those who execute are rare, and that’s why they’re in demand.

Those who execute don’t just talk about change; they create it.
Those who only think about ideas usually end up working for those who acted on theirs.

So count yourself privileged if you already have ideas and a business because that’s your starting point.
What you need next is consistent, strategic, and intelligent execution.

As Steve Jobs once said, “Ideas are just a multiplier; execution is worth millions.”
And he was right.

An idea without execution is 100% worthless.
But an idea with execution no matter how small can change everything.

So stop waiting for the perfect moment.
Start executing, start learning, start refining.
Because in business, ideas start the journey, but execution wins the race.

The PMB of Execution:

1. Propels your dreams into motion.

2. Multiplies your opportunities.

3. Builds your vision into reality.

That’s how ideas evolve into influence, and how influence becomes impact.

Execution isn’t just doing, it’s becoming.
And that’s the real demand of business.

Greatness Isn't About Destiny, It's About Choice.

For centuries, people have debated whether greatness is something we are born into or something we create for ourselves.

Some believe that only a select few are "chosen" for success, that greatness is written in the stars for certain individuals while others are meant to remain ordinary.
But I believe otherwise, greatness isn’t about destiny, it’s about choice.

The Myth of Predestined Greatness
Many times, we look at extraordinary individuals, famous leaders, athletes, innovators and assume they were always meant to be great. But when you dig deeper, you realize their journeys were filled with failures, doubts, and struggles. They weren’t born successful; they made choices that led them there.

If greatness were purely about destiny, then talent alone would be enough. But we have countless stories of talented people who never reached their potential simply because they didn’t make the right choices.
On the other hand, we have people who started with nothing no talent, no connections, no privilege yet they made choices that turned them into legends.

Greatness is Built on Choices
Every day, we are presented with choices that shape our future. These choices may seem small in the moment, but over time, they determine who we become.

The Choice to show up that greatness starts with consistency.
The Choice to keep learning. Learning from failure instead of being discouraged by it is what separates those who rise from those who stay stagnant.
The Choice to step outside comfort zones; Those who achieve greatness aren’t necessarily the smartest or most talented, they are the ones willing to take risks, try new things, and challenge themselves beyond what is comfortable.

The Choice to Stay Disciplined. Motivation fades, but discipline is what keeps people going.
The Choice to Believe in Yourself; Many people give up before they even start because they convince themselves that greatness isn’t meant for them. But those who succeed are the ones who refuse to accept that limitation.

Rewriting Your Own Story
There are people who were told they would never amount to anything, students who were labeled as failures, artists who were rejected countless times. But they made a choice to keep going, to rewrite their own story instead of letting the world decide their fate.

So, if you’ve ever felt like you’re not "destined" for greatness, remember this; your choices matter more than fate. Every great person you admire was once in a position where they had to decide whether to give up or push forward.

They weren’t chosen by destiny, they chose themselves and so can you.

Very true.📌
We know change is constant and when it comes to humans, the fact becomes even more evident.
Real ones are hard to find but now how do you identify someone who is real?

Someone who's authentic ,doesn't compromise his/her essence. They don't pretend to impress. They embody their unique self without trying to fit in by imitating or shifting with trends.

Yes, change can be either positive or negative, some people evolve for the better, and that's beautiful.
But from what I've experienced, most changes in people tend to lean the other way.

Real ones are those who don't change easily with time.
Time may bring fame, struggles ,money ,distance or new environment but real ones stay grounded, their goodness, love and presence towards you remains consistent and felt,no matter what.

How Do You See Yourself?

Have you ever pictured yourself doing something great?

If you’ve never done that, it may be a subtle sign of low self-esteem and self-condemnation.

The real issue isn’t self-evaluation. The danger is when we evaluate ourselves and conclude that we are worthless. When we redefine ourselves negatively.

The truth is: before anyone writes you off, you must have first written yourself off.

At the end of the day, it’s you and you to deal with.
So let me ask again: How do you see yourself?

This isn’t superstition or fantasy. It’s about picturing the reality of who you truly are.
When you know who you are, you no longer live for people’s validation.

Yes, the enemy will always try to condemn you through what you see, hear, or even the voices in your head. But it’s up to you to silence those voices with God’s Word. His truth is what defines you, not people’s opinions.

Let me share part of my Story 👇🏻
Growing up, people often said my voice was “feminine.” Some even described my attitude that way. It disturbed me deeply, but no one knew not even my parents or siblings.

Over time, I realized the reason: it was my clear diction and correct English. But instead of appreciating it, some mocked me. The teasing didn’t stop. It followed me from school to school.

At first, I struggled. But then I discovered something that People will always talk. They have mouths.
So I decided not to see myself through their lens but through God’s.

I began to embrace my voice not trying to sound “manly,” but to speak with even more clarity and confidence. Although, my voice isn't feminish but I mean if you want me to pull that, I can.

Today, by God’s grace, I sing, I speak, and I love my voice. What once felt like a weakness has become a strength that makes me stand out.

So, let me leave you with this:
Don’t see yourself the way others define you. See yourself for who you truly are.

When you do, you’ll discover your uniqueness, your gifts, and even your weaknesses and then lean on the Holy Spirit to help you grow.

Personally, I see myself as one who is great, endowed with potentials and blessed all round. I'm merely understood and I think it's for the best. I'm special, sui generis and kind.

This is little compared to how I see myself, so I’ll ask you again… How do you see yourself currently?

Hilda Baci’s Jollof Rice Record: A Story of Self-Improvement, Resilience, and Community.

When news broke that Nigerian chef Hilda Baci had set another Guinness World Record this time for the largest serving of Jollof rice in partnership with Gino, it stirred mixed reactions.
Some hailed it as an inspiring feat, while others dismissed it as a stunt for fame.

But beyond the surface-level chatter lies something much deeper. Hilda’s journey is not just about cooking, records, or recognition.
It’s about growth, resilience, and the power of community.

While soliloquising, I pondered on these thoughts and I was like if only some persons can channel the energy they used in criticizing Hilda's efforts both online and offline to discover lessons to learn from this historic moment, their mentality will be shapened for good.
But then let's read further 👇🏼

1️⃣Growth Through Self-Improvement:

Hilda’s story didn’t start with Jollof rice. She first shook the world with her cook-a-thon, where she cooked tirelessly for days, showcasing endurance and mastery.
That achievement alone put her on the map, but she didn’t stop there.

Now, with the Guinness record for the largest serving of Jollof rice, she proves that success isn’t about stopping at one big moment. It’s about consistent improvement, pushing yourself beyond what you once thought possible.

Her cook-a-thon was remarkable, but this feat brought new risks, new calculations, and new pressure.
Unlike the cook-a-thon (a record already attempted by others), the Jollof rice challenge was fresh ground, it had never been done before. By taking that risk, she wasn’t just repeating history; she was writing a new chapter.

The lesson here is clear: growth is not about repeating the past, but about stretching yourself toward what has never been done before.

2️⃣Legacy Beyond Fame:

Some critics say she did it for fame. But fame fades, what lasts is legacy.

Hilda’s records amplify the voice and strength of women in Nigeria and beyond. In a society where female voices are often underestimated, she stands tall as proof that women can lead, inspire, and dominate global spaces.

It’s not about doing something great once; it’s about building a life where each step is better than the last.
That’s how legacies are built, brick by brick, improvement after improvement.

3️⃣The Power of Community:

Perhaps the most overlooked lesson from this achievement is the power of community.

At the venue, it wasn’t just about Jollof rice, it was about people. Music, laughter, collaboration, and celebration filled the air. Strangers became family, united by food and culture.

This is a principle for life: You are not an island. Success may start with individual effort, but it thrives on community support.

Hilda has shown that building a strong community online and offline makes your name echo even when you’re silent.

It’s the same reason global icons like Beyoncé thrive. Their relentless consistency built a community that now carries their legacy forward.

When you stop connecting with people, your influence weakens. But when you keep showing up, engaging, and creating value, your community grows stronger and that community, in turn, supports you.

For me, Hilda’s Jollof rice record is more than just a Guinness title. It’s a life lesson.

It reminds us that improvement doesn’t always have to be massive. Sometimes it’s as simple as waking up early, reading a book, learning daily, or staying consistent in small routines. Every little step prepares you for the bigger stages of life.

If Hilda can go from a cook-a-thon to a record-breaking pot of Jollof rice, then we too can improve from where we are now to something greater tomorrow.

Key Takeaways:

✅Keep improving: Don’t stop at your first success. Stretch yourself toward the next.

✅Build community: Success is sweeter and stronger when shared with people who believe in you.

✅Legacy over fame: Aim for impact, not just headlines.

✅Consistency matters: Little improvements compound into life-changing achievements.

Conclusion:

Hilda Baci’s Jollof rice record is not a jamboree but a blueprint.
A blueprint for self-improvement, for resilience, for building community, and for living a life that speaks louder than criticism.

Funny how the "congratulations" she's getting from her recent Guinness Worlds record title is far bigger than the criticisms.

This is why if we are aiming for success or greater heights, criticisms or validation should be the last thing to worry about because in the end, success stands and the criticisms fleet away. So don't be distracted.

Whether you’re chasing dreams as big as a world record or simply trying to be better tomorrow than you are today, the lesson is the same:
Keep improving, keep building, and keep moving.

How Greed has influenced Younger Generations.

Greed has subtly yet powerfully shaped the mindset and behaviors of today’s younger generation, particularly teenage boys.

While ambition and the desire for success are natural, greed takes it further: it breeds entitlement, impatience, and a distorted view of value and worth.

1. Get-Rich-Quick Mindset:

Many teenage boys now believe success must come fast and flashy. The internet, especially social media, parades overnight success stories, luxury lifestyles, and influencers showing off wealth.

Instead of learning that success is a process built on discipline, skill, and time, many young boys fall into the trap of wanting the bag immediately by any means necessary. This has contributed to a spike in online scams, crypto-hype frauds, betting addictions, and shady side hustles.

2. Distorted View of Masculinity:

Greed has influenced the idea that manhood equals money. Many teenage boys are now equating their worth to how much they have, wear, or spend. The pressure to keep up to wear designer, use the latest gadgets, or even impress girls becomes overwhelming. It’s no longer about being responsible, respectful, or skilled. Instead, it’s about being the richest in the room, no matter the cost.

3. Desensitization to Values:

Greed numbs empathy. The pursuit of wealth can make some young boys overlook integrity, hard work, and kindness. We now see a wave of "flex culture" where people take pride in stepping on others to climb higher, or they see people as tools to use rather than humans to respect.

4. Mental Health Struggles:

The pressure to acquire more quickly and visibly is silently crushing many boys emotionally. They fall into depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem when they don’t measure up to the unrealistic standards they see online. Greed has made it hard for them to be content, grateful, or patient with their growth process.

5. Loss of Purpose and Direction:

When money becomes the main goal, purpose becomes blurry. Instead of discovering who they are, their gifts, and how they can make a lasting impact, many teenage boys are caught in a rat race. Greed promises fulfillment but often leaves them empty.

In summary, greed is shaping a generation of teenage boys to chase after quick wins and empty validation instead of long-term growth, character, and legacy.

We must speak up, offer mentorship, and remind them: wealth without wisdom is a tragedy in the making.

They don’t need to chase the world to prove their worth, it’s already within them.

Papa David Ibiyeomie shared something profound during his sermon on the theme “Unlocking New Possibilities.” He emphasized the requirements needed to activate your God-given potentials.

The requirements he outlined are:

Self-discovery (Proverbs 23:7)

The Right Environment (Ecclesiastes 10:10, John 21:5)

Working on Your Potential (Proverbs 22:29)

Always Consulting the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6–7)

He spoke richly on each of these points, but the one that stood out most for me was “The Right Environment.”

He explained that sometimes you can be in a workplace yet feel no peace, only restlessness and discomfort. That is a clear sign that you are in the wrong place, and you may need to leave.

Immediately, I remembered moments in my life where I experienced the same. At first, I thought it was just my body struggling to adapt to the environment. Sometimes we even assume it’s the devil trying to discourage us from staying in our “dream job.”
But in truth, it could be God’s way of showing us that this is not where we are meant to thrive. If we force ourselves to stay, our potentials could be limited.

I too once stayed in such a place. My thoughts convinced me to “endure and learn” because nothing comes easy. But no matter how hard I tried, I wasn’t improving. That experience taught me something: when God has truly prepared a place for you, things will flow with ease.

Many times, we are busy fulfilling our own plans, not God’s plan. That’s why things feel difficult. We may remain in a workplace that leaves us unsettled, disorganized, stressed, and without peace simply because of the salary. But God may already be signaling that this is not the right environment.

As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

When you are in the right environment, the signs are clear.

√You feel at peace.

√You grow and improve.

√Stress is minimal.

√Things move smoothly.

The wrong place, however, slowly kills your potential. We sometimes force ourselves to adapt to wrong environments, but it’s unwise. If it isn’t the right place, leave.
This isn't limited to the workplace only but any environment at all.

As Ecclesiastes 10:10 (KJV) says: “If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.”

Truly, to activate your potential, you need the right environment and only through God’s wisdom can it be revealed to you.

It's always power packed to be part of our Mid-week service at Salvation Ministries every Thursday.😊
I'm grateful to God for the insightful teachings passed through his servant David Ibiyoemie unto lives.🙏🏼

True help is it's own reward, and it doesn't really deserve applause or loyalty. Instead it's simply a gesture of kindness or support.

Let's learn to help willingly and selflessly and not because of the credits or benefits that comes from doing so.

Also, we should be able to identify when a help is fake to not accept such help.
It's generally best to be cautious and discerning when accepting help, ensuring that it's genuine and comes from a trustworthy source.

I like people who are straightforward.

People who are real, open, and willing to say things as they are.
If you didn’t like my joke, say it.

If you’re hurt or offended, let me know, tell me when, where, and how.

That’s how I am, especially with the people I care about.

Sometimes, out of respect or because of seniority I might choose to stay calm.
But eventually, my actions will reflect exactly how I feel.
I don't necessarily have to fake it.

If you’re close to me and you mess up,
I will let you know “You messed up.”
And honestly, I expect that you would already be aware you did but will make it more obvious to you if you act like it's not it.

It’s not complicated.
If you can’t help someone, say it.
Be honest enough to speak up pls, instead of disappearing or pretending to forget.

Don’t run away from something you agreed to or something you know you’re meant to handle.

Because if you act like that towards me, and you’re someone I consider close.
I will confront it.
I won’t pretend about it.
And maybe if I do , I tell you the truth now, It’s wrong. It’s not right!
