As a Nigerian I expect you to know who this is but for the sake of the younger generation...

You may have heard of Fela Anikulapo Kuti or his music.
A Nigerian multi-instrumentalist, composer, pioneer of the afro beat music genre, human rights activist and most of all a Legend of Nigerian music and beyond... 😎😎

Sometime in october last year I was scrolling through my instagram feed viewing trending posts on felabration... Celebrating his posthumous birthday while coincidentally listening to the track 'fela in Versace' by AKA & Kiddominant. Thats when I got inspired to make this piece and just went crazy on it. 😁

'KIDS IN LOVE'

That's what I call this piece...

This piece illustrates the innocence and sincerity of young love. Elephants with trunks intertwined represents a KISS or HUG, the butterflies in the surroundings represents the ecstatic feeling we get in moments of intimacy with the ones we love.😍

I remember my first crush she was the only one that made me look forward to going to school the next day... I'm not going to say much about it but I usually got butterflies in my tummy anytime she called my name. Lol! 😂

I picked the elephants as the main subject for this piece because of the well known fact that they are very sensitive creatures and do have outstanding memory. We never really forget the ones we love no matter the time, distance or condition.♥️

'THE AFRICAN WOMAN'
Beautiful, powerful, resilient female of African descent with skin kissed by the sun. 😍😍

I remember how I stumbled upon this rare pic of an African beauty online and was just in awe... Observe her unique hairstyle and awesome profile, beautiful eyes, cheeks, nose and lips... I just got instantly inspired to make this piece.
Though I have no idea what African tribe makes such awesome hairstyle, please feel free to educate me. 😉
