God is in the streets.
How do you think I am surviving?
They are chariots and soldiers.
Mountains and setbacks.

Warriors who have battled those before me,
Now they stare at me in the face,
In these streets,
They charge toward me.
Eager to devour me —or to stop me at least.

My only crime was sowing into my growth.
The mere determination that I must leave my
kindreds in a better place than I met them,
Angered these demons.

In these streets,
As I muster up courage and summon strength,
God is by my side always.
He is my Shield and my Refuge.

Our lives are woven in secrecy.
Some we share and others
we only share with the Almighty.

Sometimes these secrets can be
unhealthy to our bodies and our souls,
yet they're our burden and we have to
bear them by all means.

Our lives are woven in suffering,
we all have our own struggles,
ones that we may never share with
anyone else, no matter how intimate,
maybe because we can't find
enough courage to,
or just simply because we can't.

Yet, no matter the depth of our Darkness and Struggles,
Our Creator always finds His way to our souls and
with time He will make us pure again,
just like the day our spirits were born.

Love is deliberate,
purposeful.
Love doesn't just flow
that's tales.

Love is practise,
you consciously give yourself
into caring for someone,
into supporting some and
accepting their flaws.

Love doesn't happen
when eyes meet or
when hands touch,
love is built up, over time, it's
strengthen by the willingness to
keep holding on and believing
for better days.

Love is beautiful,
with the right person.
Love is magical.

Society will gather strength from
your energy but will hardly reciprocate
with gratitude.
They'll take your paints in silence and
make beautiful colors to their own
existence.

So while you're here,
doubting your worth and
second guessing your body,
you hardly realise that someone
found the strength to try again
because you said it was okay to.

Someone is smiling ear to ear between
their pillows because you validated
their dreams,
something you might have done unknowingly,
only by just being yourself.

Only by struggling to find your feet,
you've encouraged someone too,
to hold on a little longer and experience
breakthrough.

You're, in a million ways,
a blessing to humankind and to the universe.
Even though at times your glow doesn't
attract sunshine, and your heart sinks into your
stomach and make it heavy.

You are like a broken crayon.
You still add colour anyway.
