In this explosive and satirical third episode of Barbershop, tempers flare, truths are revealed, and the drama is hotter than a Lagos afternoon. Barber is nursing a swollen eye—the result of a brawl from the previous episode—when BJ storms in with his usual loud greetings and unsolicited opinions. What begins as small talk quickly spirals into debates about everything from Fulani herdsmen to media propaganda, failed governance, fake patriotism, deportation regrets, poverty, funerals, and the madness of Nigerian traditions.
As Barber tries to find peace in his morning newspaper, BJ offers unsolicited wisdom, mocking Barber’s voluntary deportation from the US and highlighting the irony of Nigeria’s so-called "freedom." Then enters Tomas, collecting donations and selling aso-ebi for his father’s burial, igniting a sharp critique on performative culture and the absurdity of expensive funerals in a poverty-stricken land. Just when the dust seems to settle, Philomena returns, Cecilia storms in, and all hell breaks loose—again.
Sharp, funny, and brutally honest, this episode of Barbershop brings the chaos of everyday Nigerian life into one small shop. The banter is real, the commentary biting, and the punches—both literal and figurative—land hard.
