My people, as the light of Nkwo breaks upon the earth, I call upon the wisdom of our elders and I stand before my Chi with a clean heart.
Our elders say, “When the morning comes, the one who is awake should not sleep through his destiny.”
Therefore, wake up!
May your eyes see what others cannot see.
May your ears hear the wisdom hidden inside ordinary words.
May your feet recognize the road prepared for you.
On this Nkwo, may your Chi go before you.
Where your name is being discussed, may good things be spoken.
Where opportunity is waiting, may your footsteps find it.
Where a door has been closed against you, may another door open that is greater than the one you were denied.
I pray that this Nkwo shall not carry sorrow into your household.
May your home know peace.
May your hands know increase.
May your work produce results.
May your efforts not become wasted labor.
And wherever you go today, may wisdom walk ahead of you.
Our elders say, “The person who knows where he is going does not follow every road simply because it is open.”
May your Chi give you discernment.
May you know who to trust.
May you know when to speak.
May you know when silence is your protection.
May you recognize genuine helpers and walk away from those whose smiles hide wicked intentions.
Anything that is not meant for you, let it pass you without touching you.
Anything meant to destroy your peace, let it lose its way.
Anything carrying blessing, favor, prosperity and good news—let it locate you today.
I speak over everyone hearing my voice:
May this Nkwo bring you good news that will make you grateful you did not give up.
May the road ahead of you be brighter than the road behind you.
May your Chi remember you for good.
May the wisdom of those who came before us continue to guide your steps.
And when you return home tonight, may you return with a testimony.
Nkwo has opened its eyes.
Let your destiny open its doors.
Let your Chi stand beside you.
Let wisdom lead you.
Let good things locate you.
May it be so.
