On the outside, our Tutor looked calm. But inside? His mind was racing already plotting what we’d do at the housewarming of Chief Stanley Nwakwandu, given the kind of dignitaries in attendance.

Watching him, we knew something unusual was brewing and lo, we were not surprised at what he later dished out.

There’s a thrill, a joy, and yes a sweet kind of stress that comes with guiding voices this passionate.

Ikukuoma na Amsterdam invited us to minister at the Memorial Mass for his late parents and also grace his house-warming celebration.

As always, we phenomenally delivered.

Why do choristers love this Sanctus so much?

Honestly, it never gets old.

By the way, we made a small correction to the text because it originally omitted “tua.”
Have you also made that correction in your version, or do you still sing it the old way?

And one more thing, how comfortable are you with the way the piece ends?

Does it sit well with you musically?

Yesterday, we took our final sip of the Christmas Season with the Catholic Church during the Memorial Mass for Late Mr. Augustine Ukwandu and Late Ezinne Benedict Ukwandu, held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Umuezeagu Akokwa.

The late Mr. Augustine Ukwandu and late Ezinne Benedict Ukwandu were the beloved parents of Chief Stanley Ukwandu (Ikukuoma na Amsterdam).

As always, the phenomenal family added a truly fitting and beautiful touch to the liturgical celebration through their heartfelt singing, enriching the solemnity of the Mass.

May the gentle souls of Late Mr. Augustine Ukwandu and Late Ezinne Benedict Ukwandu continue to rest in perfect peace.

During the funeral Mass of Late Nnaoma Cyril Anele Nwagha, father of our Director, Very Rev. Fr. Ikechukwu Nwagha, JP, the Ensemble witnessed a deeply touching and unexpected moment as our Tutor made his psalm-singing debut since the inception of our dear Ensemble.

In the midst of grief and prayer, the Psalm rendition brought a sense of calm, reverence, and consolation. It was not only a pleasant surprise to the entire Ensemble but also a moment of joy and appreciation for our Director, who was visibly elated by the prayerful delivery.

Indeed, in moments like these, sacred music transcends performance and becomes true prayer, offering comfort, hope, and unity even in times of loss.

May the soul of Late Nnaoma Cyril Anele Nwagha rest in perfect peace.

While we celebrate you posthumously, we are certain that the host of angels are celebrating with you and celebrating you.

We miss you here on earth but we are consoled that you're in a better place singing perpetually to the glory of God.
