A few final tweaks to the hair, and I'm much happier with how it's looking. Now it's time to focus on the face.

Also, for those who often ask, this drawing is being done on Strathmore Bristol paper—currently my favorite paper for charcoal.

Today's mission was the hair and background. Somehow I kept jumping back and forth between them, but it all came together in the end. 😅

The hair still needs a few touch-ups, but for now, I'm calling it a win.
