The Rising Pace of Modest Fashion.
A rare gem in our todays fashion sector "Liz Roy" started Downtown Demure; to her; she had no desire to post photos of herself online, let alone make her blog into a serious venture. The idea for the site came to her soon after she converted to Christianity four years ago. As part of her conversion, she purged her closet of tight, revealing dresses and picked up pieces that covered her at least between her chest and knees. To help her transition, she started a Tumblr to catalogue inspirations for modest dress — only to find that more women were looking for the same thing. Even though Roy’s parents were culturally Christian, they did not understand Roy’s choice to embrace a much stricter code of value that her new life style as a christain represent. Nor did her friends, who were mostly secular. It didn’t help that, for Roy, it was important to use visible evidence to demonstrate her religious beliefs. “Clothing is the easiest way to tell people who you are and what you value,” she explains. “But I also decided to create a blog to explain to people around me what I was doing.”
Roy is already hopeful about what women are choosing these days. “We’re moving away from an era of ostentatious and revealing clothing,” she says. “I love that women are opening up to the idea that a conservative dress code can also be empowering.”

FASHION THROW-BACKS.
Fashion throw back these days is so overwhelming;because it seems to bring alive those old-school outfits we've embraced in the past into the new modern world...and the most exciting trick is these: This throw back are usually so on point as though they were made for the now. The likes of brooches,turban,statements coat such as kimono,box bags,bell sleeve styles,natural hair look are trending now but since styles come and go like seasons; the basis for beauty and style has also evolved and has become more daring and sophisticated over time; making it pretty easy for trend followers to enjoy and switch as new ones unfold.but some just refuse to go extinct.
With all this cyclic attribute of fashion, it is important to know that simply following the overused fashion trends or wearing expensive clothes that are invogue will not help you get a distinct style. So ensure you dont wear an uncomfortable and indecent dress just because that movie superstar is wearing it; rather wear your comfortable and invogue attire that suits your style and trust yourself to look good on it by wearing it confidently.

The Secret Behind Beautiful Styles
Very early during my sewing years... i thought fashion was all about making complex designs on fabrics; until i saw a picture of a client with a very complex design on a seemingly obscure ankara fabric...then i concluded that its really not about the complexity of a design but the choice of the fabric you are intending to use.
Imagine doing just a simple flair gown with a beautiful patterned fabric; the style would come out as though its beyond it. It is also very important to note that there are varieties of fabrics in the market that spans beyond the normal ankara and lace we see and know.
So want to encourage everyone not to search up for really complex designs when choosing a style,rather let the search be saved up for choosing a beautiful,durable and complementary fabric that suits the purpose of your purchase, because its only then that you can portray the simplicity that fashion is all about.
