In every gathering, something unspoken lives between us—
in laughter, in silence, in the way we lean into one another.
This body of work, In the Circle of Us (Ní Àárín Wa), is about those moments—
where presence becomes language,
and belonging needs no translation.
Love does not stand alone.
There is a kind of knowing we only share with each other—
soft, unguarded, and deeply held.
In these moments, we are seen,
we are heard,
we become.

is a poignant representation of a young lady's journey, as she navigates the complexities of life and seeks her path. Despite the challenges she has faced, she refuses to let her past define her. Instead, she presses forward, driven by a determination to become a better version of herself.
The lantern she carries is a powerful symbol, radiating positive energy that surrounds and protects her. It signifies her resilience, hope, and unwavering commitment to illuminating her own path, no matter the darkness she may have endured.

The painting tells the story of a person navigating the complexities of their own identity. The artwork captures the tension between the internal and external worlds, as if the subject is grappling with the desire for self-expression and the need for connection with others.
