Mama G, Zubby Michael, Destiny Etiko, 7 Others Become Bebuzee Brand Ambassadors 🔥

Nollywood is getting another major tech connection as some of the biggest names in the industry have been unveiled as brand ambassadors for Bebuzee, a global AI-powered super app.

Veteran actress Patience Ozokwo aka Mama G, Ebele Okaro, Zubby Michael and Destiny Etiko were among the stars unveiled at the launch of Bebuzee’s all-in-one super app in Lagos last weekend.

Other Nollywood personalities on the list include Paul Obazele, Segun Arinze, Sani Danja, Jide Kosoko and the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Yakubu.

According to Bebuzee founder and CEO, Joseph Onyero, the partnership is aimed at connecting Nollywood’s huge creative community to the platform’s digital services, including streaming, content distribution, creator monetisation, advertising, e-commerce and AI-powered tools.

He described Bebuzee as a platform where users can access more than 15 different services without having to jump from one app to another.

The company also announced plans for a 100,000 Nollywood Creators Programme, which is expected to bring actors, producers, directors, writers, cinematographers, editors and other entertainment professionals into its digital ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, NFVCB Director General, Dr. Shaibu Husseini, said one of Nollywood’s biggest challenges is no longer production but distribution and monetisation, stressing the need for an ecosystem where creators can benefit financially when their content succeeds.

With Nollywood already producing thousands of films and reaching audiences around the world, Bebuzee says it wants to help take Nigerian content even further into the global digital space.

“I Lost My Mom” — Kizz Daniel Reveals The Real Reason Behind His Sudden Music Break 😢

Kizz Daniel has opened up on the real reason he slowed down with music this year, and it’s a painful one.

The singer revealed that he took the break following the death of his mother earlier this year, not because he was busy working on a new album as some fans had assumed.

A fan on X had suggested that an album was probably the reason he had been away for a while, but Kizz Daniel replied:

“I paused for my Mom not an album… Lost her this year, but I gotta keep moving for the rest of the family… sorry I came late this year.”

The revelation immediately drew emotional reactions from fans, with many sending condolences and praying for strength for the singer and his family.

Kizz Daniel has had his share of painful losses over the years. He lost his father in 2015 and also lost one of his triplets in 2021. He also previously revealed that his wife lost her mother in 2024.

Despite everything, the singer says he has to keep moving for the rest of his family.

Veteran entertainer and social commentator, Charly Boy, has opened up about his two daughters who, according to him, identify as le****ns.

Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, the controversial entertainer said he initially found it difficult to accept the news, especially when his younger daughter first came out.

However, Charly Boy said he eventually chose to support his daughters because, in his words, his major concern is for them to be happy.

According to him, parents cannot control the lives of their grown children, adding that the days of beating or commanding children are gone.

He said his eldest daughter, who has children and a great-grandchild, later decided that she preferred women, and he accepted her decision.
“If she decides that she no longer likes men and prefers to be a le***an, so be it. My only concern is for her to be happy,” he said.

Charly Boy also admitted that he had mixed feelings about his younger daughter’s decision, saying he would have preferred that she had children before making that choice.

He explained that his parenting style has changed with younger generations, noting that parents can only advise adult children rather than dictate how they should live.

The entertainer added that as long as his children are independent and not demanding money from him, he believes their personal lives should be left to them.

Charly Boy also spoke about his relationship with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, describing him as both a close friend and a father figure. According to him, the two sometimes talk for three or four hours and even discuss religion and personal matters.

Court Throws Out Fresh Probe Bid Into Mohbad’s Death, Says Case Lacked Credible Evidence

The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking to force the police to reopen investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Justice James Omotosho dismissed the case on Thursday, ruling that the group behind the suit, Registered Trustees of Break the Silence Foundation, lacked the legal standing to bring the action and that the case was also without merit.

The group had approached the court seeking an order compelling the Inspector-General of Police, the Nigeria Police Force and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to conduct a fresh investigation into Mohbad’s death.

But the judge said the applicants failed to provide the report from the earlier police investigation, which they relied on in claiming that the investigation was not properly conducted.

According to the judge, without the original investigation report, there was no concrete evidence to establish that certain people, including members of Mohbad’s family, were left out of the investigation.

Justice Omotosho described the claims as speculative and said the court could not grant relief based on mere assertions without proof.

Mohbad died in Lagos on September 12, 2023, and his death has remained a major subject of public discussion and controversy.

The judge also criticised lawyers involved in the case for granting interviews and making social media comments while the matter was before the court, warning that such actions could influence public perception of evidence.

With the ruling, the suit seeking a fresh police investigation has now been dismissed.

“Fela Was Never My King” – Tekno Names His Own Music Legend

Nigerian singer Tekno has made it clear that while he respects the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, he never grew up seeing him as his musical “king.”

Speaking during an interview on Yanga FM 89.9, Tekno explained that he was born in Bauchi and grew up in northern Nigeria, where he did not listen to Fela’s music.

According to him, he never said Fela was not the originator of Afrobeat and described the late music icon as a “freaking legend.”

However, Tekno maintained that Fela’s music did not influence his own sound because he simply did not grow up listening to him.

He went on to point out that among his hit songs, “Rara” is the one he feels sounds closest to what people would describe as Afrobeat associated with Fela.

Tekno also said his musical inspiration came from the kind of music he heard while growing up, particularly highlife and other Nigerian sounds.

When asked who his own “king” was, Tekno confidently mentioned Oliver De Coque, the legendary highlife musician.

“Fela wasn’t my king. He never was my king. He will never be my king. Who’s your king? Oliver De Coque,” Tekno said.

He also compared the situation to being a Messi fan and clarified that saying Fela was not his personal king does not mean he believes Fela was not a legend.

Popular Nigerian streamer and content creator Habeeb Adelaja, better known as Peller, has confirmed that he and his wife, Jarvis, are leaving Nigeria for Canada.

She described Gedoni as a blessing and thanked him for loving her, being patient and tolerant, and helping to lead their family according to their faith.

Khafi also admitted that she sometimes feels nervous speaking about marriage publicly because of the scrutiny that comes with it, but said marriage remains one of her favourite subjects.

The couple met during the 2019 edition of BBNaija, where their relationship blossomed while they were both housemates. They eventually got married and have since built a family together.

“I NEVER MET JAY-Z!” — WOMAN WHO ACCUSED RAPPER OF ASSAULT MAKES SHOCKING U-TURN, APOLOGISES TO HIM AND HIS FAMILY

A woman who previously accused American rapper Jay-Z of $exuäl a$$ault has now made a dramatic reversal, saying she never met or spoke to the music mogul.

In a 12-page declaration filed in a Manhattan federal court, the woman reportedly stated that there was “no truth” to her allegations against Jay-Z and acknowledged that the claims caused significant pain and damage to the rapper and his family.

Her lawyer, James Blair Newman Jr., said his client still maintains that she was a v¡ctim of a$$ault but was completely mistaken in identifying Jay-Z as the person involved.
She has now offered an unconditional apology to Jay-Z and his family.

The woman also reportedly said her legal troubles began after she responded to a Facebook advertisement seeking people with $exual-a$$ault claims against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

According to reports, she said her original lawsuit was filed without her knowledge and that she began questioning her own account in January 2025. She also said she started doubting whether she had ever attended the celebrity party where she previously claimed the alleged a$$ault took place.

The declaration was filed alongside a notice that Jay-Z was voluntarily dismissing her as a defendant in his malicious-prosecution lawsuit against attorney Tony Buzbee and his law firm.

Buzbee, however, said he had not reviewed the new declaration and claimed the woman had previously repeated the same account to several lawyers.

The latest development has dramatically changed the picture surrounding the allegations against Jay-Z, with the woman now saying she wrongly identified him.
