Yesterday, family, friends, community leaders, traditional rulers, faith leaders, and distinguished guests gathered in Egbeda Community, Emohua LGA, Rivers State, to pay their final respects to Late Mrs. Comfort Ada Opara-Ajoku Omereji.
Although a few of our charger plates, napkins, wooden props, and flex banners unexpectedly found new homes as "souvenirs," the experience at Egbeda Community was nothing short of beautiful.
From the days of preparation to the final farewell, it was inspiring to witness a community come together in love, honour, and celebration of a life well lived.
A special shout-out to the team and Academy Alumni who showed up, worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and ensured the event came together seamlessly.
Events come with their surprises, and this one certainly had a few. But beyond the missing items, what remains are the memories created, the relationships strengthened, and the privilege of serving a family and community during such an important moment.
Thank you, Egbeda. It was truly a beautiful experience.
