I was deeply inspired by the bravery, talent and commitment shown by the women in Makoko. They set aside time during their busy days to participate in this important Art for Change project. They shared their stories with their community and spoke to leadership.

I took this photo ten years ago when my children thought I was a hilarious magician and could hear my voice ring across a field. Now, on the rare occasion that my children hear me through a head-phoned-TikTok-YouTube-hurricane; my words are distant, unexpected, corny interruptions.
