This week the Italian Ambassador, Stefano De Leo, had the great honour and pleasure to host the first celebration in the Republic of Benin of the 77th anniversary of the Italian Republic.
The Italian Ambassador during his emotional speech also spoke about the candidature of Rome for Expo 2030
“Rome's candidacy for EXPO 2030 reflects the Italian capital's desire to provide a global platform for Benin and the entire international community to work together to find new ideas, strategies and solutions in the fields of climate change, sustainable use of resources, urban development and migratory flows.”

Cette semaine, l'ambassadeur d'Italie, Stefano De Leo, a eu le grand honneur et le plaisir d'accueillir la première célébration en République du Bénin du 77e anniversaire de la République italienne.

L'ambassadeur d'Italie, dans son discours plein d'émotion, a également parlé de la candidature de Rome à l'Expo 2030.

The “Week Of Italian Cuisine” in Nigeria has come to an end but we will like to reminisce on the final day of the celebration.

Friday had us at The wine Lab () for a special wine tasting paired with some Venetian cicchetti with selected ingredients offered by .Italy.lagos. It truly was indeed a spectacular way to celebrate Italian cuisine.

Next was a beautiful day at La taverna () which started out with a masterclass by Chef Tracy teaching us the fine art of “La Pasta”. Lunch was served afterwards and it was mouth watering, from desserts served by , antipasto from .Italy.lagos and wine from
It truly was an exciting week celebrating Good food, fine wine and the beautiful Italian culture.

Beautiful photos from our evening at the wine Lab(). Lagos is our last stop for the "Week Of The Italian Cuisine" in Nigeria.
On Thursday, Tracy Eboigbodin winner of MasterChef Italia attended a lovely dinner at Zaza Lagos () with Desserts from and wine from . It was a beautiful evening bonding over good food, great wine and top notch entertainment.

Chef Tracy was in Benin city, Edo state which also happens to be her home town. This second stop of the "Week of Italian Cuisine" in Nigeria focused on investment opportunities and training of youth in the HORECA(Hotel/Restaurant/Café)sector.
She narrated her experience and engaged with the youth on the importance training, regular migration and how Nigerian youth can harness opportunities in the HORECA sector.

She also visited the National museum in Benin, the Palace of the Oba of Benin, the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy and she was hosted by the Governor of Edo state, His Excellency Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki and and the First Lady First Lady Her Excellency Betsy Bene Obaseki at the Government house.

Last but not least on our food heroes, we shine a light on MARCO SCOLASTICI, a Shepherd in MARCHE who revived the Sopravissana sheep breed which were abandoned in favour of more productive breeds. He started to produce not only raw-milk cheeses but also processing wool, which in the past was discarded. Marco’s work drives an effective circular local economy and shows quality, sustainability and resilience as well as rebirth and attachment to the land.

Concluding on the celebration of our food heroes we would like to shine a light on MARCO SCOLASTICI, a Shepherd in MARCHE.
