The Delta State Police Command has rescued a 60-year-old man who was kidnapped in Agbor and arrested 10 suspects in separate operations across the state.
According to the police, operatives of the Agbor Division, alongside forest guards and local security personnel, rescued the victim at Alisime Village on September 4 after engaging his suspected abductors. The victim was rescued unharmed, while the kidnappers reportedly fled into the bush with suspected gunshot injuries. A mobile phone and ATM card were recovered from the scene.
In a separate operation in Abbi, the Command Anti-Cult Unit raided a brothel while searching for a suspect wanted over an alleged arson case. Ten suspects—seven females and three males—were arrested. Police also recovered quantities of Tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud and substances suspected to be Indian h**p.
Meanwhile, in Oghara, police recovered a locally made cut-to-size fi***rm after suspected hoodlums fled from officers following a reported scuffle along Ibori Road.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Samuel Erale, commended the officers and other security personnel involved and directed that efforts be intensified to apprehend fleeing suspects.
