Located in Lekki, Lagos, the four- storey building compromises of an art gallery and textile museum with over 7,000 pieces; a training section for young artists; and soon to have Coffee shop. The Centre has a diverse collection of art by a multitude of artists, celebrating Nigeria’s talent, offering visitors an insight into all cultures of Nigeria through the medium of art. It can take up to a full day to discover all the Nike Art Centre has to offer. Fortunately, the gallery is open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm and often holding art exhibitions, workshops and cultural days. If you’re feeling creative you can take an art course with Nike or go on one of her week-long retreats outside of Lagos in Osun state (Osogbo), Kogi state (Ogidi) and Abuja, all of which you can visit with 'Nike Tours'. The tours offer overnight accommodation at her guesthouses, and partake in creating traditional African crafts such as adire, batik, indigo, beadwork, painting, or carving.

It was a great pleasure to welcome H.E. Ambassador Hideo Suzuki, Ambassador of Japan to Nigeria, and his Secretary Asami IBA to Nike Art Gallery, Lagos. 🇳🇬🇯🇵

Their visit was a beautiful reminder of the many cultural connections between Nigeria and Japan that are not always recognised, from our appreciation of fermented foods and traditional foodways, to our intricate textile traditions, craftsmanship, and the deep respect we both hold for our cultural heritage.

What we find particularly inspiring about Japan is its ability to embrace and lead in technological advancement, innovation and modernity, while continuing to preserve, celebrate and pass down its traditional culture and heritage.

This balance between tradition and progress is a conversation that feels increasingly important in Nigeria too.

At Nike Art Gallery, we believe that our traditional arts, textiles, stories and knowledge are not relics of the past. They are living expressions of who we are and can continue to evolve alongside the modern world.

It was an honour to share our space, our art and our stories, and to explore the beautiful possibilities for cultural exchange between Nigeria and Japan. 🇳🇬🤝🇯🇵

Arigatō gozaimasu for visiting us.

We hope this is the beginning of many more conversations and connections.

FOOD IS ART, and we were overjoyed to be invited to experience the incredible menu at Cilantro, Four Points.

The food was truly out of this world, the ambience was beautiful, and every dish was as memorable as the last. Safe to say it has officially joined NÓMAADA as one of our favourite restaurants.

If you're in Lagos or Abuja, consider this our certified recommendation. Whether you visit Cilantro or NÓMAADA, you're in for an exceptional dining experience with outstanding food, beautiful spaces, and warm hospitality.

Thank you for having us. We can't wait to be back!

A proud moment to welcome the Oba of Ado and Olofin Adimula Oodua of Awori land, celebrating the enduring connection between culture, heritage, and artistic expression.

If you haven't been to see the Nigerian Modernism exhibition at the Modern, you have until May to go. The exhibition featuring my work alongside my colleagues Bruce Onabrakpeya, Muraina Oyelami and Chief Buraimoh is a major, landmark show, widely described as one of the most important exhibitions of Nigerian art ever staged in the UK.

It features Over 250 artworks, more than 50 pioneering artists and includes painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, printmaking, and more.
