This is Femi Gbajabiamila
Some of you do not exactly understand why he has been trending this few days, so let me explain it to you like a child
Femi is;
A lawyer by profession.
A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A former member of Nigeria's House of Representatives, where he represented Surulere I Constituency in Lagos State from 2003 to 2023.
The 14th Speaker of the House of Representatives, serving from 2019 to 2023.
Since June 2023, he has served as Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, making him one of the most influential officials in the Presidency.
Now this is the gist.
A man called Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi who claims to have headed the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) accused Gbajabiamila of demanding large kickbacks in connection with an appointment
Let me explain what this exactly means.
Think of a school.
The principal (the President) appoints a head prefect (Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff) to help manage the school.
Now imagine a boy( Adeyemi) comes forward and says:
"The head prefect told me that if I gave him a lot of money, he would make me the captain of a new club (PFIPC) in the school."
The boy also says:
I paid ₦400 million through other people.
He later asked me for another ₦200 million.
The head prefect (Femi Gbajabiamila) also wanted a very large share of the club's money.
Then the head prefect (Femi)replies:
"That's not true. That club doesn't even exist. I never appointed this person."
Now, instead of the Principal(Presidency ) to investigate Femi, He instead turned around to say;
the Boy who made the allegations forged documents, pretended to head a fake club and must face criminal charges.
So why is everyone confused?
People have noticed that the same "club" which Femi denied existing appeared in the Nigeria's 2026 budget with government money allocated to it.
So people began asking:
"If the club doesn't exist, why is it in the budget?"
Has Gbajabiamila been found guilty?
No.
Infact, He has denied wrongdoing.
The Presidency has stood firmly beside him insisting that Gbajabiamila did no wrong.
Infact, as we speak right now, accuser may be facing a Life sentence soon while Gbajabiamila cruises in the presidential villa.
