My wire painting is time consuming and painstaking. It requires strong determination, persistence, consistence and relentless effort. There is nothing good that's easy to get. No pain no gain.
Besides, the risk therein is exorbitant. It requires huge amount of money to procure these wires in different colours and thickness since they were imported from America and London. The cost of producing just one artworks with copper wire can be used to produce 10 acrylic or oil paint artworks.
Durability of wire painting cannot also be compared with a work produced with acrylic or oil paints. Wires were made from metal. With all these aforementioned requirements and attributes of my work. I still have strong interest and inordinate love of my work of art . In fact, it gives me joy and happiness to see the creativity products God uses my hands to produce.

The tendency to get government job in Nigeria is low. If you want lucrative job you have to invent it yourself. In Lagos, Informal stalls selling pepper, fruits of different types, bread and iPhone cables sprout between its buildings like plants growing in the cracks of a rock . Hawkers weave through the notoriously gridlocked traffic carrying boxers shorts and kiddies pools, bread, ice block, soft drinks etc.
Over 600,000 new people arrive in this Lagos from across west Africa with the hope that they can make a better life than the one they have. Some are able to achieve this premonition. This is why this city is called the state of excellence. Therefore, if one want to survive in Lagos hustle, you have to be mentally prepared, live close to your workplace, have multiple streams of income, socialize and meet new people and observe the flow of traffic so that you can know the time to move around Lagos state.
The wire painting represents Idumota market scene. It features different buildings, shops, vehicles and humans who engage in different activities for survival.

The wire painting evolves entertainment and relaxation part of Yoruba culture. Musical instruments serves as communication gadgets, which convey message to those who have discerned ears. There are african musical instruments for certain social gatherings and deity. For instance, talking drum (gangan) is used during social events like naming, wedding, coronation and burial ceremonies.
" Bata" drums are dedicated to "Sango" (god of thunder) festival. It is a taboo to play rattle where people gathered to morn someone who die. Gong is used by king to invite His subjects to palace or to disseminate information.

Copper wire pliability and flexibility gives plenty possibilities. Its nature gives me ample opportunity to create each of the cowries shape that were woven around the rattles musical instrument Yoruba usually "sekere". I coiled the copper wires with one of my tools called cooling Gizmo. The cone like small rattles around the helm of the talking drum was created with the wire tools called mandrel 4X and round nose plier. The rope like handle of the talking drum was woven with French knitter tool before pasting it on board. All the aforementioned tools were posted with the artwork.
Besides, the above copper wire painting of African musical instruments were produced with different colours of wires, namely: sliver, black, light gold, champagne gold, supa blue, supa ice blue, vivid red, mid brown and warm gold.

Transient beauty.

Beauty is a quality that usually compels attention and arouses awe, love, but strangely, sometimes, lust!

Beauty is a natural endowment that is found among men, women and animals alike. In its prime, beauty can be radiant, fascinating and awesome. However, as desirable and lovely as beauty is, it is delicate and has a body that breaks too soon. In its transientness, it passes away so quickly, as if it was never there.

No wonder, the all time great Greek philosopher, Plato equates superficial beauty with fleeting life phenomena. He writes, "sexual interest, the sense of beauty and reference for the sacred are proximate state of mind which fleet into one another and grow from a common root".

On the other hand one of the greatest Yoruba philosophers, Rowland Abiodun aptly captures true beauty in the Yoruba apothegm " Iwa l'ewa (character is beauty)'.

In my present work, I attempt the portrayal of 'outer (superficial) beauty' as described by Plato, and as against inner beauty, as exemplified by Rowland Abiodun's submission.

In the present work, I depict the portrait of a woman with an 'afro' hair style. The hair is rendered with sweet colour roses and exotic flower types; an indication of the euphemerality of her beauty. Many flowers are known to bloom at the rising of the sun, but by the evening time, they wither.

The painting teaches moral lesson to both men and women to look beyond the cosmetics, make-ups and online packaging in their choice of friends and life partners.
