*I will Be Unfair To God And Man If I Blame Tinubu For Nigerian’s Economic Hardship – Sanusi Lamido*
_*• Says Nigeria Was Living On Fake Lifestyle With Huge Debt From Foreign And Domestic Debts Since 2012*_
_*• Says Tinubu's Decision To Remove Subsidy And Unify Exchange Rate Was Nigeria Only Surviving Strategy, No Borrowing To Run Government Any More*_

Former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, said it would be unfair for him to criticise President Bola Tinubu over the country’s economic hardship.

Mr Sanusi, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), speaking during a virtual religious event on Sunday, said Nigerians who expected him to speak about the economic hardship deliberately wanted him to oppose the president.

He explained that he had to deviate from the religious theme of the event to remind Nigerians about his stands on the badly managed economic policies of the immediate past administration of Muhammadu Buhari.

He said the Buhari administration ignored his advice on how to take Nigeria out of its economic woes.

Mr Sanusi said economists with a fair sense of reasoning know that the current administration has made the right decision (fuel subsidy removal) to save Nigeria from the bo***ge of debts dug by the past administration.

“I have been, over the years, talking about the pending crisis ahead of the current economic hardship. Any economist who has studied monetary policy in the last eight years knows that Nigerians will fall into this difficult situation.

“The difficult situation Nigerians are facing is just the beginning (if the right decision is not put in place) because Nigeria is not exceptional; such situations happened in Germany, Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Venezuela.

“The previous administration turned adamant about our appeal for corrective measures (on the economic policy). I have said in the presence of the now sitting president in Kaduna state, any politician who tells you that things will be easy, don’t vote for him because he is lying. People merely dismissed my advisory as a political statement.

“If I am to be fair and just to President Bola Tinubu, he is not to blame for the current hardship; for eight years, we were living on a fake lifestyle with huge debt from foreign and domestic debts. The Central Bank of Nigeria owes over N30 trillion, which resulted in debt service surpassing 100 per cent.

“I can’t join other Nigerians criticising Tinubu on the current economic hardship, and I am not saying he is a saint free from wrongdoing, but in this current economic situation, President Tinubu is not to be blamed. I will also speak if I see any wrong economic policy of the Tinubu administration in the future.

“It’s injustice for anyone to blame the Tinubu administration for the current economic hardship because there is no other alternative than the removal of the fuel subsidy. After all, Nigeria cannot even afford to pay the subsidy.

“(In the last eight years), the Central Bank continues to print more money, and the Naira continue to depreciate. There is too much naira in circulation because the CBN is printing the currency without restraint.

“The economy was poorly managed, and they are not willing to take advice; in the last eight years, apart from sycophancy, nothing has been done; those sycophants are those buying the dollar at the rate of N400 and selling it at the rate of N600 to N700.

“A boy who has no record of service has a private jet and owns houses in Dubai and England just because he is buying Dollar at so so a rate and selling them, Mr Sanusi said.

He said everything in Nigeria in the last eight years is done on debt, lamenting that no country will survive in that economic policy.

“I can only plead with the people to endure the hardship, and those who have the means to help the downtrodden should do so.

“I am also pleading with commoners to live according to their earnings; we must not peg our lives above our earnings in this difficult situation where people are looking for what to eat, the former Kano Emir said.

BODE GEORGE WROTE

My thoughts on this Protest!

I'll hope to make it brief.

I remember that, while the EndSARS 2020 protest was being planned, the Northern Elders held a meeting and agreed on one common ground- 'the President is our son, we will not go against him or allow anyone to protest against him in the North'.

And so, it was like a joke, but no protest was allowed.

Check the record and prove me wrong?

Those who sponsored billboards and adverts in Abuja and the North, lost their funds.

A particular popular Musician who sponsored billboards in Lagos, Abuja and PH, lost everything he sponsored in Abuja. In fact, the owners of the billboards were sanctioned in Abuja.

The President was their son and they wouldn't allow any protests against him. Carry your protest to your side if you so wish.

It is 2024, and here we go again. We are asking the siting President to give us a report of 60 years' rot in 1 year.

And, the South, especially the South West where the President is from, must prove a point now.

Would you stand for your son or stand against him?
I think that, we would stand with our son too!

I think that the whole South should stand for their son also.

Has any President done better than him in 1 year of office, in the last forever?

Isn't the Nation too tender for any protests right now?

Has any protests ended well in the last... forever?

Have we had gains or losses from protests?

Isn't there a consistent record of hijacks of protests, from forever?

Would you invest in a Nation that is prone to protests that leads to anarchy and destruction of the land?

Who has accounted for the losses from the EndSARS?

I think that we have had a very sensitive economy in recent years.

We rolled from costly Boko Haram insurgency to global recession to National recession to COVID and to the effects of wars around the world.

This is the reason there is inflation all around the world. Yes, including the Countries you wanna japa to, init?

Have you noticed the number of Countries who have had the same economic effects?

In fact, for the kind of government in the UK, you must have noticed the number of Prime Ministers who have been changed in the last 14 years. There has been 6 since 2010. A particular one spent only 1 month as PM. It was all because of the economy, not war or sickness or incompetence, but economy.

That same inflation is biting the Citizens so hard in all these Nations. UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Ghana, SA, Egypt.... everywhere.

Meanwhile, Nigeria is having her 3rd President since 2011, staying his first year in office.

I would have expected Nigerian Citizens to have a more critical look at the economy by history rather than sentiments.

I would have expected Nigerian Politicians to stand for the good of Nigeria rather than prove the points of hatred from an election loss.

Atiku supports the protest fr Dubai, so does Peter Obi from 'not Anambra'.

Which one of you actually won the election if it was not Tinubu? And, would any of these 2 men have done better, knowing that they both supported the removal of subsidy on oil as does the sitting President? Which is the reason why we are here now.

Things could have been done better sha. That, I agree! But it is still manageable.

When HAMAS faced Israel, the whole Nation, and especially the Politicians, stood as one, with their President. He wasn't their fan, but their Nation needed them more than they needed to prove a point.

Where are those who will stand for Nigeria?

This Protest is, for me, a stand against the welfare and existence of Nigeria.

When I looked at the demands of the proposed protest, I saw the request for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. How does this relate to Protest against Bad Governance? Am I missing something here?

Are we being introduced to the Sponsors of the protest?

How many Nigerians have visited the South East in recent times? I have!

Do we have our eyes opened? We should!

I still recall his voice from those voice notes on the instruction to burn Lagos during EndSARS Protest, and places were burnt as he instructed.

So, the validation of burning Lagos and Nigeria will end bad governance?

The jail breaks, the beheading of Police Officers, the burning of LAMATA Buses, the burning of Police Stations and countless more, will end bad governance?

This brings me to the issue of patriotism.

I think that some Nigerians are fond of hiding the good things of Nigeria and putting the bad foot forward. We spread our dirty linens on the world stage forgetting that all other Nations have dirts too!

There's nothing bad in Nigeria that is not in every single developed, developing or underdeveloped Nation.

The world scores Nigeria low or badly, because Nigerians tell the world that Nigeria should be so scored!

Do you know that there are Nations who refuse to give any information about themselves to the world for anyone to score their economy or people? It's like claiming the 5th amendment.

I wonder if a Nigerian expects to be seen differently from how they describe their own Country? (Keep reading these words until you've read it!)

We don't need any protests.
We don't need to gamble with anarchy that usually starts with a 'peaceful protest'.
I am aware of how tough things have been, but a further toughness will not make things easier.

I support dialogue.
Some of us will not be going anywhere!
So, please leave our bed place for us and we will keep working things out.

The grass is not greener anywhere else. If it is, go there!

I pleade with Nigerians not to use the sitting President as scapegoat for all the bad governments of the past.

There was Abacha, there was Babangida, there was Jonathan, there was Buhari, there was Obasanjo, there was AbdulSallam, they are all faulty in some.

Why would anyone want to distract or punish Tinubu?

May Nigeria succeed!!!!

"Presidential Jet: Another Peter Obi Gbajue

The statement by Peter Obi condemning the Federal Government's plan to buy new Presidential jets for President Tinubu is another Gbajue lie from a man who has elevated lying to an art.

The reason for this is because there is no such plan. It was the National Assembly that booted the idea, as is their right. The Executive did not make such plans and has not budgeted any money for such a purpose.

It is the same way he lied and blamed the Tinubu administration for spending ₦21 billion on the new residence of the Vice President. What he failed to tell his gullible supporters is that that project was initiated and funded by previous administrations, dating to when our party, the Peoples Democratic Party, was in office. Please note that Peter Obi was then our card carting member, but he did not attack the project.

Mr. Peter Obi counts on your gullibility and refusal to research what you read before believing him. That is why he tells such fibs. Please find below other major lies told by Mr. Obi:

One: That he brought an Amazon expert to testify at the PEPC. The person he brought is Mpeh Clarita Ogar, a failed Labour Party candidate for Yala/Ogoga Federal Constituency, in Cross River State, who admitted in court (and on video) that I "Am here as an expert witness, I am not here on the mandate of Amazon."

Two: That Nigeria should be ashamed since Tanzania has achieved full power sufficiency and had to shut her dams over excess power. Actually, Tanzania shut its dams after the ongoing Cyclone Hidaya hit the country and is currently facing nationwide power blackouts.

Three: I won the . The truth is that Peter Obi predictably came third, an election that the United States has now officially, through their State Department, admitted reflected the will of the Nigerian people, and in so doing, they corroborated International Observers.

Four: I took Anambra from Number 27 to Number 1 in WAEC. Actually, WAEC does not grade by state, and the so-called Number One improvement was as a result of 486 WAEC/NECO/JAMB exam 'Miracle Centres', which made Anambra the exam malpractice capital of the world, and almost got the state delisted, until the Obiano government closed them down under pressure from WAEC two months after taking over from Obi.

Five: I reduced poverty in Anambra. The truth is that, as averted by the current Governor of Anambra, Professor Charles Soludo, poverty in Anambra more than doubled under Peter Obi, from 20% in 2004 to 68% in 2010, representing a 238% increase.

Six: I love Muslims. Actually, Peter Obi plotted a "religious war" (his exact words) against the Muslim Ummah in a leaked audio by Peoples Gazette. He vowed to sue Peoples Gazette. However, more than a year later, he has not sued. Moreover, when asked directly by Charles Aniagolu on Arise TV if that was him on the tape, Peter Obi refused to answer, though the question was repeated thrice.

Seven: I studied marketing at Harvard. Peter Obi did not study at Harvard. He went for a short course that usually takes two weeks at Harvard. To claim that he "studied at Harvard" based on that is deceptive, misleading and manipulative. Peter Obi only has a first degree, a Second Class Lower in Philosophy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Of all the Presidential candidates during the , Peter Obi was the least educationally competent.

Eight: Peter Obi lied that President Tinubu paid for 1411 people to go for with government money. Only 422 of the delegates of Nigeria were publicly funded. And not all of those publicly funded were financed by the Presidency.

"What is the use of making an unenforceable minimum wage law? More than half of Nigeria's thirty six states are already struggling to pay the current ₦30,000 minimum wage. It does not take a genius to know that if they are forced to pay ₦60,000, the Governors will have to engage in MASSIVE sacking. Only about eight states can fully survive on their own without federal allocations. Nigerians are notorious for not paying taxes. We have tax-to-GDP ratio of less than 10%. Even Ivory Coast has a higher tax-to-GDP ratio than we do. So, where will the states find the extra money for the new minimum wage? From Christ Embassy's school of miracles?

Sadly, we, as Nigerians, can be very emotional. it is just like the current complaint in Southern Nigeria about the sudden rise in the price of pepper. And all we do is complain. Are we aware that if we go to the back of our houses and plant pepper seeds, they will grow, and in ninety days, we will have peppers to harvest and even to sell? No. It is to blame Tinubu. Meanwhile, and please fact-check me: almost 60% of the British population grow at least some of their vegetables at home. The percentage in the U.S. is 55%. But here in Nigeria, as soon as it rains, it is bedroom enjoyment we think of. Yet, we have more fertile land and much more sunshine than Britons or Americans.

Unless we allow the states to individually set their own minimum wages and allow the Federal Government set theirs, whatever new minimum wage we come up with will be defaulted on by more than half the states.

Oya, insult now. As if it is an insult
that will guarantee that you get paid a fair wage."

"Glamorous display of patriotism a few days ago; never mind most of them returning to their old ways of grossly unpatriotic behavior in words, deeds, trends, and thoughts.

We are privileged to be in a country marked by wide diversity, our profiles coming under differences in language, ethnicity, faith, culture, physical features, narrow-minded people, broad-minded persons and what have you.

Never allow your mind to go away, from sticking to patriotism as a Nigerian.

Every person [soul] is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves( regardless of belief).

The land can’t prosper you when you don't obey its rules, regulations, and don'ts!
There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power.
God places and removes as it pleases HIM!!!

Law is law, no matter how you twist it; heaven and earth bind to it!

In any case, considering the current realities of the goings on in the country; namely economic challenges, misdemeanor, despicable conduct from some section of individuals, barring some exceptions, we should remain patriotic.

My fellow people of the land; let's continue to love this nation. Love breeds positivity and not sloganeering without substance as it’s seen from some.

Always ensure your citizen unconditional support and devotion to this brand of ours called Nigeria; Criticize and leave some truth, home is home!

We don't have another home except this Undefeatable Nigeria!

Even as some undertake a more critical approach to recognize our shortcomings; let’s endeavor to push it in the right direction and not ridicule this brand called Nigeria!

Go for questioning and criticism of current challenges, solely driven by a desire for positive change and not selfish interest because of, the loss of an electoral process which within all ramifications, the strength gathered can NEVER call the SHOTS!

“Sometimes, the greatest strength lies in the ability to feel the pain, yes there is pain; but HE is picking up the pieces, decades of shattered dreams at a time. Letting go, not because it's easy, but because it's necessary. Hope may be one of the options, but it's all we have to light the way, and HE is heavily pressing the buttons to light the way”

Happy new month, my people; Our Hope is being RENEWED!!!!"

*Welcome to June my birth month*🌹🇳🇬🌹.

Lots of love 🌹😘🌹.
