Every story born in the studio is never forgotten.
Captured after completing these twin portraits, each layered with history, emotion, and quiet defiance. A pivotal moment in my 2023 body of work.

This photograph takes me back to my former studio. A small, sacred space that carried big dreams. 2022 was a year of silence, sweat, and surrender. Much of what I created then came from faith, painting through uncertainty, trusting that purpose would reveal itself through process.

Looking back, I see how those quiet moments shaped my journey. Each piece behind me tells a story of resilience, identity, and becoming.

I’m deeply thankful that all three of these works have found homes in private collections, a true honor and reminder that nothing made in truth ever goes unnoticed.

Heartfelt gratitude to my incredible collectors for believing in my vision, and special thanks to my representative gallery for the unwavering support and trust in my practice.

Alhamdoulillah for growth, grace, and the journey ahead. 🙏🏾

“On the Other Side” — Series Complete
This series explores the liminal space between where we’ve been and who we’re becoming. Through bold portraiture and layered backdrops of familiar rooftops, each subject carries the quiet tension of transition. These are not just figures—they are thresholds, standing at the edge of memory, identity, and self-definition.

For collectors, curators, and lovers of powerful narrative art, this is a body of work that speaks volumes.

Series: On The Other Side 10
Title: “The New Dawn”
Acrylic and Charcoal on Cardstock
Dimension: 60” X 42” inches.
Muse: .e.e.a.h_

This painting captures the transformative energy of beginnings and the promise of a brighter future. The central figure, with her commanding presence and vivid orange hair resembling the rising sun, embodies resilience and hope. She stands confidently against the backdrop of a winding village path and a glowing horizon, symbolizing the journey toward renewal and growth.

The interplay between the serene landscape and bold foreground elements reflects the tension between tradition and progress, inviting the viewer to reflect on the possibilities that lie on the other side of challenges or transitions. The floral patterns in the foreground further emphasize life, beauty, and the continuous cycles of nature.

“The New Dawn” serves as a metaphor for personal and communal rebirth, reminding us that every day carries the potential for a new beginning and endless opportunities.

Series: On The Other Side 8
Title: Through Time and Space
Medium: Acrylic and Charcoal on Cardstock
Dimensions: 60 x 42 Inches.

This piece investigates the enduring relationship between identity, place, and collective memory. Set against the backdrop of a historic townscape, the central figure emerges as a conduit between temporal and spiritual dimensions. Her gaze evokes both presence and transcendence anchoring us in a moment that stretches across generations. The interplay of rich texture and vivid color draws us into a layered narrative, suggesting that “the other side” is not merely geographical, but an emotional and ancestral space shaped by memory, longing, and belonging.
