Let us pause and speak with sense, not fear.
Vomiting blood is not a myth, not a ritual, not a spiritual transaction. It is a medical emergency one that has taken many young lives suddenly and painfully.
Conditions like severe stomach ulcers, ruptured veins caused by silent liver disease, or acute internal bleeding can strike without warning. When it happens, every minute matters. Without urgent medical attention, death can come swiftly.
It is therefore wrong, and dangerous to turn such a tragedy into whispers of money rituals or attacks on Ifa or any traditional belief. Not everything outside Islam or Christianity is evil, and not every death needs a spiritual villain.
When we rush to spiritualize medical realities, we spread fear instead of knowledge, stigma instead of compassion, and ignorance instead of truth. Worse still, we deny the grieving family the dignity of mourning in peace.
Let us do better as a society.
Let us choose knowledge over superstition, empathy over accusations, and truth over rumor.
May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may we learn enough to save the next life
