Hule sat quietly inside the D.P.O office, sweat rolling down his face like rain after a long chase.
His catapult was still in his hand, but this time nobody was running anymore. The police officer beside him looked tired too, writing reports after the whole market drama.
Earlier that afternoon, Hule had fired his catapult to scare away two boys who stole a woman’s phone. The thieves escaped, but people thought Hule was part of the trouble and began chasing him through the streets. Dust flew everywhere as he jumped gutters and ran into the nearest police station for safety.
Now sitting beside the D.P.O, both men looked exhausted. Even the small cat on the table stared at them like it wanted to hear the full story.
After listening carefully, the D.P.O laughed and said,
“Hule, next time leave the chasing for the police.”
Hule smiled, held his catapult tightly, and replied,
“Oga, na my village spirit push me.”

Hule was known in the whole village as the strongest beer carrier no one could challenge.
Every evening, people would gather near the old broken building just to watch him perform his strange talent. With one crate hanging from his mouth and two heavy crates in his hands, Hule walked proudly like a champion.
One hot afternoon, a group of friends laughed and said, “Hule, you cannot carry all these beers to the bar without dropping one bottle!”
Hule smiled quietly.
Without saying a word, he lifted the first crate with his mouth, grabbed the other two with both hands, and started walking through the dusty road. People followed behind shouting his name.
“Hule! Hule! Hule!”
Children ran beside him while some old men shook their heads in disbelief. Even the beer sellers were shocked because nobody had ever carried that much weight alone.
As Hule reached the bar, everyone clapped loudly. A man offered him free drinks, but Hule refused and said:
“Strength is not for showing off… it is for surviving hard life.”
