Helpless.
He loves us so much,
He cares so well,
Yet we suffer such and such
And have no place to dwell.
But why can't he help when he is such a prowess?
Maybe it's because he is so helpless.
He is all good,
He is all powerful.
And we have no food
Yet we must be thankful.
But why can't he drive away evil if he is not so careless?
It may be because he is really helpless.
If he were to speak, what would he say?
Why is he not answering all we have asked?
We are confused more than when we first saw the day,
When the night we banished and sacked.
If he chooses to blur his kindness,
Maybe it's because he is nothing but helpless.
He is too quiet for my liking,
Leaves the poor without some clothing.
He is too meek for a king,
Or do these too also prove his loathing?
Maybe he wishes all to bless,
Maybe he only appears helpless.
But why these speculations and maybes;
Why can't we know the answers for sure?
Maybe it's unto us human beings
To bring this wrecking ship to the shore.
Maybe we are the ones who are heartless,
That's making him appear so helpless.
Maybe, maybe, maybe I'm clueless.
