IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL 2026 UTME CANDIDATES

📍Read this carefully before proceeding to change your course/institution!

Before You Do Change of Course/Institution, Consider these:

1️⃣ Your Score vs School Requirement
Do not change blindly. Ensure your score meets the realistic requirement of the new school/course.

2️⃣ Possible Increase in Cut-Off Mark, Some schools may increase their cut-off due to competition.
Example: A school may have accepted lower scores previously but later raises it when demand increases.

3️⃣ School Fees
Make sure you can afford the tuition.
Some schools accept students but have high fees, which later becomes a challenge.

4️⃣ Location
Consider distance and convenience.
Don’t choose a school that will be difficult for you to manage.

5️⃣ School Quality & Accreditation
Ensure the institution is accredited and has good academic standards and facilities....

JAMB has opened the portal for candidates who wrote the 2026 UTME and want to change the school or course they chose before.

• 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀:
- If you want to change the school you picked before, you can now do it
- If you want to change the course you picked before, you can now do it

• 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗼 𝗜𝘁:
- Candidates who wrote the 2026 UTME
- Candidates who want to change their school
- Candidates who want to change their course

• 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼 𝗜𝘁:
- Go to any JAMB-approved CBT centre
- Do not do it at a cyber café
- Do not do it at an unapproved centre

I STUDIED 8hrs DAILY-JAMB 2026 TOP SCORER SAYS

From an interview with SAGE Education, UTME top scorer revealed that she studied for eight hours daily to achieve an outstanding score of 372.

Her achievement is a reminder that excellence is rarely accidental. Behind every remarkable result are discipline, consistency, sacrifice, proper planning, and the willingness to remain focused even when distractions arise.

Lessons students can learn from Daniella’s success:

• Build a consistent reading timetable and follow it faithfully.
• Understand topics instead of cramming them overnight.
• Practise past questions regularly to improve speed and accuracy.
• Reduce distractions from social media and unnecessary outings.
• Believe in your ability while remaining committed to hard work.
• Seek guidance from teachers, mentors, and educational resources.
• Rest adequately and maintain a healthy balance while studying.

Success in examinations is not only about intelligence. It is also about preparation, determination, and effective use of time.

Update from JAMB

UTME CHANGE OF INSTITUTION PROCESS ACTIVATED

Candidates wishing to change their institution or programme of choice may now proceed to do so visiting any of the Board’s approved CBT.
Applicants are advised to visit any accredited CBT centre to effect the changes.
Furthermore, the printing of the original 2026 UTME result slip will commence on Monday, 18th May, 2026.
