Lunch outing with some friends the other day:
I order a meal in a restaurant and say, "no onions please. Tell the chef not to put onions in my meal".
Waiter nods.
48 minutes after the reassurance that our meal would arrive in 20 mins (28 minutes late!!!) this waiter returns with everyone's order.
Mine has a festival of onions.
Me (exasperated, hungry and close to tears): But I told you not to put onions in my food!??!
Waiter: No, this one is spring onions.
Me: Spring onions, mountain onions, valley onions, river onions... what do they all have in common?
Waiter: Em...
Me: How did you not know that spring onions are still onions? Did you even tell the chef??
It turns out that he got all out orders wrong, because when we asked him to take our order down on the notepad, he insisted that he would not forget.

"My father left my mother and us all to marry another woman. We somehow managed to survive without him. I've met this really great guy who wants to marry me and I've said yes. He comes from a really good family and they're all very nice and kind. He says he wants me to take him to my father. I refused, reminding him of everything. He insists that he must meet the father of any woman he will marry and that I should make room for my father in my life... What should I do? How can I make room for someone who abandoned his children all those years ago?"

A wife confronts her husband for cheating, saying her sister caught him & told her. The accusation ends in him beating her.

He proceeds to ban her from any contact with her sister. "Cut her off!", he says.
Now, her sister is about to get married and the husband has warned her NOT to attend.
Should she obey him?
Is he right to stop her from relating with her family?
