Complain, complain, complain! First it's not enough water, then no food and now not enough of a variety! The Israelites remind me of my children, especially when they were teenagers, opening a refrigerator and saying there was nothing to eat, even though they could have heated up leftovers or made a sandwich, etc. I guess that freedom from slavery wasn't enough for them. God continued to be generous to the Israelites and provided them with meat. When we complain, God continues to be generous with us as well. The question is, when is it enough for us?

Think about a Christmas morning with a pile of gifts in stockings or under the tree. You may have a very small child and another about six or seven years older. How often does the older one count the toys the little one gets and compares the amount to those he or she gets without even considering the amount of money spent on the gifts he or she gets? In fact, you probably spent more money on the older child whose needs are greater. We do the same thing. I don't know what want more of, I can only judge myself. At times it was more money, a better job, the ability to travel and go places I could only read about. We are all guilty of complaining to God, forgetting all that he has already given us. We sometimes see the glass as half empty instead of half – and sometimes more than half – full. We need to count our blessings more often and say thanks.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS
DATE: THURSDAY 4TH OF AUGUST, 2022.
THEME: JEHOVAH NISSI

MEMORISE: And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi: Exodus 17:15

And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands.

MESSAGE:
Jehovah Nissi is a Hebrew name that refers to God as Banner. When Moses built an altar and named it Jehovah-Nissi (which means 'the LORD is my banner'), it was in reference to how God had been a pillar unto the children of Israel throughout their wilderness experience, starting from their salvation in Exodus 14:1-31.
When the children of Israel were faced with the Red Sea, Moses held up his hands and told the people to stand still in order to see the salvation of the Lord. Psalms 91:1 says:
*“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”*

In addition to the commandments, the Lord gave the people rules to live by that included dietary laws, laws concerning the various feasts that would offer blessings to God and ways of treating people that probably sound pretty strange to us today. But let's consider this one. Why do you think God is asking for the first fruits of the first harvest in the new land? To me, this is asking for a sign of gratitude for all that the Lord had done for them. He brought them out of slavery in Egypt, guided them through the desert, fed them during their journey, made sure they had water to drink and now is bringing them to a new land so that they can live in freedom. Think back to the story of Cain and Abel and their offerings. Abel offered the best of his harvest; Cain doesn't seem to have done the same. Offering sacrifice was a long-standing tradition at that time, in that culture. It would seem to be the natural thing to do. What are we asked to sacrifice as a sign of gratitude? People who attend church on a regular basis are asked to contribute to the support of that church. What about the others? Do we offer sacrifice of time or money to our community to support local charities? Maybe we support organizations that help people world-wide. Many people go on mission trips to less fortunate areas of their own countries, or to other nations that are in need. It's really not important what sign of gratitude we choose to offer, it's important to offer it. May we always remember that we, too, have been brought out of slavery to sin and death and that a Promised Land awaits us as well.

The Almighty God is still in the business of healing as many as would come to Him in faith. As soon as Jesus returned from preaching the Sermon on the Mount, a l***r met Him on the way asking to be healed. Jesus did not turn him down Matthew 8:3 says;
*"And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed."*

If there is a disease in your body, my Daddy - the Creator of all things - is able to heal you and He will do so today, in Jesus' name.
A woman came to one of our meetings. She had a strange disease; everything she ate, she vomited. She had gone to so many doctors but they said they couldn't find anything wrong with her, yet she kept suffering. We had not even started to pray for her, we were only shouting 'Hallelujah', and as she opened her mouth to do likewise, something like a worm jumped out of her mouth. She was healed instantly. If there is a sickness in your body, as you shout! Hallelujah, God is going to heal you instantly in Jesus' name.
As many people that came in contact with Jesus were healed. if any man came to Him for healing, Jesus never pushed him away. Once, Jesus was in a very serious meeting when a ruler of a synagogue named Jairus came to Him. Jairus' daughter was sick and he wanted Jesus to come and heal her. Jesus did not tell him He was busy; He went with him to heal his daughter. Jesus is never too busy to attend to your health. If you call on Him, He will come and heal you.
What is that sickness that seems insurmountable? What is that disease in your life that doctors are saying does not have a cure? My Daddy is healing it now in Jesus' name. Look up to Jesus. Come to Jesus for your healing and trust in Him. There is no disease sickness that is too serious for Jesus to heal. If He could bring Lazarus who had died and been in the grave for four days to life, Jesus can heal you too. In the mighty name of Jesus, receive your healing now!

WHAT DOES A CHRISTIAN MUSIC INSPIRES YOU TO DO?

What does the music inspire you to do? If it doesn't inspire you to be more holy, to feel a stronger internal desire to dig deeper into His Word and spend more time with our Heavenly Father, or encourage yourself or your brethren in Christ to hold on and keep the faith: then that source does NOT come from God; no matter how talented the artist might be.

A Godly source will inspire you to become more holy and more godly. But a demonic source will encourage you to become more like those who are unsaved and of the world.

This is why you must steer yourself away from gospel artists who are inspiring you after the flesh. You know the type: the ones who go around proclaiming themselves to be 'sexy' Christians. Or the ones who are quick to call everyone else judgmental because they don't agree with mixing the holy with the profane.

I am yet to see a father whose lifetime commitment is to watch over his children all night, while they sleep throughout their lives, in order to ensure that nothing bad happens to them. Even some security guards fall asleep while on duty but our Heavenly Father watches over us day and night. He neither sleeps nor slumbers (Psalms 121:3-4 ).Thus, if anyone is threatening to attack you, boast about your God who is able to keep you safe. God is neither sleeping nor slumbering, so you can trust Him to safeguard you. Explaining how protective God was over him, Paul said in Galatians 6:17
*“From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”*

You have a covenant of everlasting protection as long as you, remain with God. He devised a means to permanently remember you, which is by engraving you on His palms. Don't you think you're special?
