BlockIT Studios is a media production company dedicated to crafting unapologetic, impactful films and content that reflect, confront, and create meaningful change.

Founded in January 2022 with the mission to add value to society and reshape storytelling, we began our journey with the award-nominated short indigenous film “UME (Breathe),” centered on mental health and depression. The film earned nominations for Best Short Film at AFRIFF, Best Screenplay at FilmJoint, and Opening Film at Lagos Film Festival in 2023, and is currently streaming on YouTube.

As we enter 2026, we remain committed to delivering authentic, unforgettable experiences that expose society’s shadows and challenge narratives.

Meet our extraordinary cast 💥 who brilliantly portray her role. Her dedication, talent, and delivery were a standing ovation in UME (Breathe) and we can’t wait for you all to watch how she pulled it off 💥

Amanda Oruh is a Nigerian actor (stage, film and television) who cherishes the opportunity to be other people ,telling their stories uniquely. She lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria. A graduate of Microbiology from Abia State University.

She has gotten trained overtime by amazing acting coaches and Acting Academy; Ronya Man, AFRIFF Acting Training, High Definition Academy, Lufodo Academy of Performing Art, Afriville Training Institute, Morocco Omari, Bikiya Graham –Douglas and Ugbeye Tosan. Her most recent being an Acting for Screen alumna of Ebonylife Creative Academy.

A few work credit include; Rattlesnake, King Of Boys- The Return of the King, Riona(Africa Magic Original series), Love is war, Handicapped, The Demon Within, After the Vow, The Samaritan(an Ebonylife Creative Academy Project) to mention but a few.

She communicates fluently in English and Pidgin, basic knowledge in Igbo and Yoruba.

She loves spending time with loved ones and a volunteer at Lagos Global Shapers Community.

Meet our incredible actor 💥 She played a paralyzed doctor character. Her performance in UME (Breathe) was transformational.

Priscilla Okechukwu is a graduate of mass communication from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
She’s a native of Imo state and is fluent in Igbo, English, pidgin English, and a smattering of Yoruba.

She has always been interested in acting and ventured into it after graduating from the University.

She has been in productions ranging from TV series to web series, to stage and music videos. Some such productions include; ‘Shattered Crown’, a Libratrio production, ‘Oasis; the enemy within’, an Apreel venture production, ‘Inside Life’, a Clarence Peter’s production, Simi’s Aimasiko’s music video, ‘Brotherhood’, A Jade Osiberu Production, ‘Leaked’, A Multichoice talent factory production, ‘King of Boys’, A Kemi Adetiba production, Wizkid’s Smile, The firstborn stage play, ‘Sniper’, a Kininso production, ‘Skinny girl in transit’, a Ndani tv production, permit paint advert, ARM pension advert, Sterling bank women empowerment short film, ‘Oga! Pastor’, a Ndani Tv production, ‘My Siblings and I’, a Funke Akindele production, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, a Funke Akindele Production, ‘Banana Republic’, directed by Bovi, and a host of many others.

She is diversified, so has played roles ranging from neglected wife, sister, fan, police officer, high school student, reporter, designer, and so on.

When she isn’t trying to take over the acting world, she sings and is an avid reader.
Her dream is to one day be a force to be reckoned with, leaving an impact through her acting and music.
