INITIATION ” means to begin, marking the first stage of a new life working with energies of Orisa and/or Ifa.
Ifa teaches us that there are many reasons for initiation. For example, often in life after experiencing various hardships without an identifiable cause, initiation may be called for in order to reveal to us the taboos or life contracts that we made with spirit prior to birth on this Earth. They could be taboos that we may be unknowingly breaking, and therefore working against the fulfillment of the destiny we chose.
It is also common for many to come for initiation in order to acquire the spiritual assistance and re-enforcement to fulfill our dreams, goals, and aspirations – Personal, professional, socially, or otherwise. Reasons for initiation are very unique to the individual this is because we all have our own individual destinies and spiritual blueprint. However the intended outcome remains the same: to have richer fulfillment and contentment of life through greater knowledge of self and the unseen world we live within. Determining this important step begins and ends always with divination to see if this is the right course for you to take, as well as to learn the needed pre-initiation steps to smoothly prepare you for this journey.

Ifa New Year prayer focuses on gratitude, seeking guidance from Orisa/Olorun, honoring ancestors (like Yemoja), and asking for blessings, protection, prosperity, health, and growth in the coming year, often involving themes of cleansing the past, embracing new possibilities, and strengthening community bonds, using terms like "Ase" (so be it) and specific appeals to deities like Ori (inner destiny). When It was time for Orisha Aje to find her own home and move away from Olokun house 🏑 … Olokun was unhappy ☹️ and filled with remorse … well as a good πŸ‘πŸ½ parent we all know Olokun concerned and we also know the heart of human are wicked … Olokun kept thinking πŸ’ about what can be done so that Aje is going to find her own people and her own place she can call her home .

Olokun called (Ojo lo pa Alapa to so di oun amugun fun Ewure )to come and cast ifa divination for Aje and then Ifa advised them that whenever Aje wants to embark On her journey … She should dress poorly and she should make sure that all her slaves are poorly dressed too … Ifa even further advised them that the first town who open their arms and welcomes Orisha Aje with their poor dress and poor slave is the place where Orisha Aje should stay for the rest of her life and those people would be her People , after this advise Ebo Ifa sacrifices were made and Offerings were been done βœ”οΈ

The day came for Orisha Aje to leave Olokun house and she bare farewell with tears 😭 on her face and Olokun was not happy too but there is nothing they can do cause they have to keep living life … Aje set out on her journey with her slaves … Orisha Aje was blessed in filth and rags and her slaves were cover in dirt too … they were all so dirty that you wouldn’t want to look πŸ‘€ at them at once .

When they got to the first town which was full of luxury Orisha Aje was so happy cause she thought this town looks like Olokun house and I would be accepted here and treated well but the villagers were angry they throw all kinds of insults on Orisha Aje and her followers and throw them out of their town …

In Ifa, the beginning of a new month is seen as a fresh start and an opportunity for positive beginnings. It's a time for seeking guidance, making consultations, and expressing gratitude to Orunmila and the deities. Practices like offering ebo (sacrificial offerings) and prayers are common to ensure a positive and prosperous month.
Here's a more detailed look at Ifa's approach to the new month:
β€’ Seeking Guidance:
Ifa practitioners often seek divination (idofa) at the start of a new month to gain insight into the month's potential and to receive guidance on how to navigate it effectively.
β€’ Gratitude and Prayer:
Prayers are offered to Olorun (the Creator) and the deities to express gratitude for blessings received and to seek blessings for the upcoming month.
β€’ Sacrificial Offerings (Ebo):
Ebo, or sacrificial offerings, may be performed to appease the deities and to ensure a positive and prosperous month.
β€’ Positive Energy:
The start of a new month is viewed as an opportunity to embrace positive energy and to start anew, with the belief that positive intentions can influence the month's outcome.
β€’ Cultural Preservation:
Ifa practices, including those related to the new month, help to preserve Yoruba culture and history.
In Alimosho, the new month is likely celebrated and observed with similar practices, emphasizing the importance of honoring the spirits, seeking guidance, and expressing gratitude for the blessings received,.
