We end the year, not louder, but clearer. Not finished, but positioned. And if this year proved anything, it is that the
work will continue to stand, most times taller than expected.

Everybody say yeah yeah!

Meet the Lagos Curatorial team or something like that ☺️

Afrobeat Rebellion was first imagined 2 years ago by but of course, we’ve added some bold elements to honour The Black President!

Lead Curator: .a with strong curatorial support from .ed and . Honestly the team has worn various hats for this project as translators, researchers, archivists, drivers, Amala novices, Google meet experts, handlers of delicate material and general custodians of sometimes sensitive information simply because we needed access to various rooms!

From October 12 – December 28, 2025, the Ecobank Pan African Centre will host the most immersive celebration of Fela Kuti’s revolutionary legacy ever held on the continent.

Come see what we’ve been working on for a year. It has been many days of intentional work thankfully mostly good days. It’s truly a proud moment for us and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Please register to attend at afrobeatrebellion.com.
