Honestly, I’m not necessarily defending Drew, but I think we need to look at his character development, too. 👏🏽

Drew has never really been the man who introduces a woman as his girlfriend, let alone builds an actual relationship with someone. He was a proper pl***oy: hit and go, no strings attached, no emotional commitment. Even with Lily, they were childhood friends who shared some intimacy, but she was never actually his ex-girlfriend. Remember when he admitted that even he found it difficult to move into something casual with her? That tells you something about how he approaches relationships.

Now, for the first time, we’re watching him navigate what it means to have someone genuinely attached to him and to be responsible for another person’s feelings. And honestly, I think he’s trying. Is he getting everything right? Absolutely not. 😭😂

I still believe Drew struggles with taking the lead. He seems like the kind of man who needs a push before he takes action, and that’s not necessarily what I want for Diya. Personally, I want a man who knows what he wants and takes initiative without needing another man, especially his father, to push him into doing what he should already be doing.

But does that mean Drew is incapable of becoming that man? I don’t think so.

For me, there is some character development happening here. I just hope he sustains it. Because if he keeps growing, takes accountability, and learns to love Diya the way she deserves, I genuinely believe he could eventually become the man she needs.

Now, does that mean Lucas can’t enter the conversation? Absolutely not! 😂😂 We can appreciate Lucas and still acknowledge Drew’s growth. At the end of the day, Diya gets to decide who she wants, and she deserves a man who chooses her without needing to be pushed into it.

So let’s keep watching. This story is far from over! ❤️🍿

Because honestly, I don’t think there’s a post where I don’t see your beautiful comment. And that kind of support means so much to me.

Even when it takes us forever to bring the next episode, you never come rushing in to complain. 😂 You wait. You support. And whenever the next episode finally drops, you’re right there.

You’ve been so consistent with this story, and I genuinely appreciate you. And this shoutout is specifically for you, but honestly, thank you to everyone who has shown that same kind of patience and support. ❤️

But Krystal, there’s something else I need to talk to you about. 😂

Because you kept asking about why Chief calls his wife ‘Sunshine.’

And I’m going to be honest… when I originally gave her that nickname, I didn’t even think that deeply about it. 😂

But YOU made me stop and ask myself, ‘Wait… why did I actually call her Sunshine?’

So I went back to the drawing board and started looking through the story again.

And then it hit me.

Remember in Season 1 when Drew talked about what happened after the death of Diana’s mother, Chief’s first wife?

He explained how his father was completely broken by the loss. He buried himself in work and became a different person.

And I think that’s where Sunshine came into his life.

If you remember, Chief’s business wasn’t solely about w**e. And through that side of his business, I think he eventually crossed paths with Sunshine’s father, who was a major w**e seller.

And then I started thinking about it…

After the storm comes sunshine. 🌞

After losing his first wife and going through that dark period in his life, Sunshine came into his life and somehow brought light back into it.

Then came Drew. Then came a new chapter of his life.

So now, when I look at it that way, I actually think ‘Sunshine’ makes perfect sense. 😂

Krystal, can we finally agree now? 🤣

Can we please let Chief call his wife Sunshine in peace? 😂😂

Because honestly, I think you made me discover the meaning behind a nickname I created myself! 😂😂😂
