Spot VR Residency is a programme dedicated to artists representing the global majority, who would like to explore VR as a new way of making their work or developing their already existing VR practice.
Eligibility: Stryx is calling for two West Midlands-based female early career artists, performers, makers or crafters who identify as Ethnically Diverse and would like to develop their practice through the utilisation of VR processes.

Darmstadt Secession invites young artists to submit their raw material, sketches, documents of processes, drafts, plans, concepts and exposés for a work that has not yet been realized for the prize.

They are interested in that stage which lies between the first idea and the finished work.

From all submissions, a jury consisting of members of the Darmstadt Secession will curate an exhibition with a maximum of ten shortlisted entries; the awardee will be selected from this shortlist.

Application is open to all artists born after January 1, 1983.

Please note that applicants invited to participate in the Applicants' Exhibition must deliver and install their own work.

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay invites artists, curators, programmers, writers, researchers, and practitioners across all disciplines in the performing arts to apply for the Contemporary Performing Arts Research Residency in Singapore.

The residency will take place between April and June 2024 and centres around the thematic focus - Decentring Access.

The residency is open to individuals working and researching within any discipline(s) in the performing arts in Singapore and across the world. .

Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that complement the conceptual lines set by the thematic focus alongside their artistic practice.

Schloss Wiepersdorf invites visual artists, writers, translators and composers as well as scholars with a research project on Romanticism or on questions relating to the previously divided Germany to apply for a three-month residency at Schloss Wiepersdorf in 2024.

Eligibility: Applicants must have completed an artistic or academic course of study, be working on a doctorate, or have distinguished themselves through publications or long-standing professional artistic or academic work, and can provide samples of their work to substantiate this.

Applicants in Fine arts are welcome (incl. painting, graphic arts, sculpture, media arts, and photography).

Roam Projects is pleased to announce an open call for an artist or artist group to create an outside piece for the facade of the Ice Age Centre building in Äksi, Estonia.

The unveiling of the wall piece will be the first in a series of events such as exhibitions, performances, and workshops within the project “Look into my Ice” organised by the MTÜ Eesti-Saksa Kunstikoostöö (Association for Estonian-German Cultural and Art Exchange) and curated by Maria Helen Känd between 2023 and 2024.

Look into my Ice is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 programme.

⭐️ Sovereignty, the theme for the 2024 SFAI International Thematic Residency, calls for artistic and creative engagement at the multiple intersections of sovereignty as it pertains to the individual, jurisdictions, systems, and society as a whole.

SFAI supports the expression of differing perspectives regarding the role of the artist, creative practitioner, and culture bearer in shaping and being shaped by social and political conditions.

SFAI seeks proposals that articulate a response as a creative call to action and challenge imperial and colonial concepts of sovereignty that have laid claim to land and personhood.

Scottsdale Public Art seeks proposals for outdoor, temporary public artworks to be featured in and around the Arizona Canal in Scottsdale, Arizona, during Canal Convergence.

Artworks presented at Canal Convergence will be on view for 10 nights from November 3–12, 2023.

Some projects may be selected to stay installed for an additional one to two months after the Canal Convergence event dates. This year’s central theme is “The Power of Play.”

This call is specifically targeting interactive and/or light-based installations.

The Future Generation Art Prize is a biannual global contemporary art prize to discover, recognize and give long-term support to a future generation of artists.

All artists aged 35 or younger from anywhere in the world, working in any medium are invited to apply for the Prize.

An outstanding selection committee, appointed by a distinguished international jury, reviews every application and nominates 20 artists for the short list.

These artists will be commissioned to create new works that go on display at the PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv.

Subsequently, all of them will present their works in the Future Generation Art Prize exhibition at the Venice Biennale.
