A HAPPY POEM

There is nothing here for me.
No hands to touch or smiles to hold.
Just pain and tears too much to bear
Death is no ones friend.

How sweet is pain?
Tell me, what is life that I long for more?
No lover to kiss or flowers to hold.
Still, i wish to inhale my creator each day.

But, if I fail to live another day.
If my soul decides to rest.
Bury me close to a tree.
Where the mockingbird sings.

Sing palms of victory.
For I conquered death.
Read a poem at my funeral.
A happy poem like the last one you read.
