WHY YOU ARE NOT SEEING "OUR" POST AGIAN
Victoria Ogwa A. Has something to say ⚫🔴⚫🔴
Is Your Favorite Creator Ghosting You? (It’s Not Them, It’s the Algorithm)
Have you ever realized you haven't seen a post from your favorite creator in weeks, so you check their profile only to find they’ve been posting every single day? You didn't mute them, and they didn't block you—but you've effectively been "separated" by a silent gatekeeper.
The Mystery of the Disappearing Feed
Imagine you have a friend, Sarah, who tells the best stories. Every time you pass Sarah in the hallway, she starts sharing a great update. But because you’re in a rush, you just nod and keep walking without saying a word.
After three or four times of this, Sarah starts to think, "Maybe they’re too busy for my stories," or "Maybe I’m annoying them." Eventually, she stops stopping you altogether. You still like Sarah, but the connection has gone cold simply because there was no feedback.
Facebook works exactly like Sarah.
How the "Digital Handshake" Works
The algorithm is a prediction engine. Its only job is to show you what it thinks you want to see. When you scroll past a post—even if you read every word but don't click anything—Facebook marks that as a "pass."
The 3-Strike Rule: If you ignore a creator's content two or three times, the algorithm assumes you've lost interest.
The Content Fade: Slowly, that person is pushed to the bottom of your feed until they vanish entirely.
How to Reclaim Your Feed
If you want to keep your favorite voices in your daily scroll, you have to give the algorithm a "digital handshake." Here is how to keep the connection alive:
The Active Signal: Don't just lurk. A simple like, a quick comment, or a share tells Facebook, "This is relevant to me. Bring me more."
The "CPR" Method: If someone has already disappeared from your feed, visit their profile directly. Like and comment on three or four of their recent posts. This "resuscitates" the connection and signals the algorithm to start delivering their content to you again.
The Bottom Line: Your feed is a reflection of your engagement, not just your interests. Don't let the algorithm decide who stays and who goes.
Who is one creator you haven't seen in a while? Go give their latest post some love and bring them back to your feed!
Between, tag your favorite creators that you have not seen their post in awhile.
