ITAN Stageplay purpose statement
Empowering Change through Storytelling
I believe in the power of storytelling. The power of visual storytelling is even more powerful, and through generations this has waned. Storytelling is the heartbeat of the African culture. We pass down our history. We celebrate the very blood that runs through our veins. Our communities were strong and our people stood strong knowing who they were and what they stood for. Storytelling is not just about storytelling, but good, intentional, value based yet engaging stories shape our societies. I am thrilled to share ÌTÀN (The Story) with you. The Stage play (which really is Asiko’s Quest), is just one of the 52 stories that have under the ITAN the Story Series - Ayo Jaiyesimi

In the stage production of ITAN, performed by THESPIAN Family Theatre & Productions, we’re shining a spotlight on the pressing issue of multi-generational tensions that affect families, communities, and workplaces. We recognise that diversity is a strength, but it requires understanding, empathy, and effective management to unlock its full potential. By exploring the complexities of intergenerational relationships, we aim to spark meaningful conversations and foster greater understanding between the young and old.
We invite you to join us on a journey of discovery, where the wisdom of experience meets the energy of innovation. By embracing our generational differences and celebrating our unique strengths, we can create a synergy that drives positive change and empowers individuals to thrive. We believe that everyone has a role to play in shaping a brighter future for our Nation, and we’re excited to share this powerful story with you. Enjoy storytelling at its best + Music + Dance + Plenti-Drama!
Appreciation to that support the and have supported this production also.
