Study piece after Caravaggio’s David with the Head of Goliath.

Recreating this work helped me understand the power of contrast, composition, and storytelling through paint. It reminded me that studying the masters is not about copying, but about learning how they saw the world.

Some fights are decided before they even begin.

This piece was inspired by a moment from The Raid (2011) that stayed with me

We’ve all heard the saying: you can’t bring a knife to a gunfight.
But sometimes life puts you in exactly that position.

This work explores survival, and the instinct to push forward even when the odds are clearly against you.

Because in the end, it’s not always about fairness… it’s about who refuses to stop.

Keep Moving Forward
Oil on canvas
2by3feet

This work speaks about the everyday struggle of many Nigerians, where hard work does not always guarantee success. It reflects a reality where effort and determination are often met with uncertainty, and where the system does not always reward those who strive honestly.

The empty, open space around him emphasizes isolation and the emotional distance between effort and reward. Yet, his shadow grounds him it reminds us that despite everything, he is still present, still standing, still pushing.

Description: Beauty in Imperfections celebrates the raw and unfiltered nature of human identity. Through bold textures and visible brush strokes, the piece highlights that flaws are not something to conceal, but something to embrace. The calm expression and blooming flower reflect inner peace, growth, and self-acceptance.

Title: Preparing for an Exam

This work explores the struggles Nigerian youths face while pursuing education in a system that emphasizes high grades and academic excellence, yet fails to provide the necessary facilities to support true learning. The painting portrays a student studying under the dim light of a lantern, symbolizing the persistent electricity challenges that many students endure.

Through this work, I highlight the determination of Nigerian youths who continue to strive for success, preparing for exams in difficult conditions, and holding on to hope for a better educational system and a brighter future.

Theme: " *When Darkness Begins To Yield* "
Size: 2by3
Medium: oil on canvas

When Darkness Begins to Yield: depict the quiet moment between despair and hope when darkness slowly begins to give way to light. It portrays a young boy who has spent the entire night searching.

The background sky signals the approach of dawn. confirming that the boy has spent the entire night searching, and that morning is finally near.

His journey through the night symbolizes persistence, endurance, and unwavering belief in a better outcome.

Despite exhaustion, the boy continues forward, suggesting that his search whether for success, peace, progress, or a future has not been abandoned.

Between Right and Wrong

Size 20x30 inchs

Oil on canvas

This artwork explores the internal struggle every human experiences when faced with moral choices. The central figure represents the human mind calm yet contemplative caught between two opposing influences.

The bird symbolizes purity, innocence, and the quiet voice of conscience that gently guides toward what is right. In contrast, the squirrel represents curiosity, temptation, and the persuasive pull toward actions that may lead away from moral clarity.

Placed on either shoulder, these creatures mirror the psychological and ethical tension that exists within all people. The subject’s gaze suggests deep reflection, emphasizing that the final decision always lies within the individual.
