One thing I always tell buyers is this: don’t let how much you like a property make you stop asking questions.

Before paying, make sure you know exactly who you’re paying, what you’re paying for, and what evidence supports the ownership or sale. And if you’re not familiar with Nigerian property documentation, involve a qualified professional who can properly review the documents for you.

Buying property is a major financial decision. Taking an extra day to verify something is better than spending years trying to fix what should have been checked from the beginning.
