I was lost for words when my former university lecturer shared that, of all the things he salvaged from his home after the fire, the one piece that endured was the family portrait I painted for him back in 200 level.
How the years have flown! Those little children I once captured on canvas now have children of their own.
Time may fade memories, but art... art remembers.
It’s always surreal, deeply moving to see an old work resurface, still telling stories, still holding hearts.
