OFFICIAL STATEMENT
FOGMMON Plateau State Chapter

The Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria (FOGMMON), Plateau State Chapter, expresses deep sorrow and righteous indignation over the recent unrest and the heartless killing of innocent citizens in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North, Plateau State, which occurred on Sunday, March 29, 2026 (Palm Sunday).

This tragic loss of lives is painful and unacceptable. We strongly demand justice for the victims and call on all relevant authorities to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly identified and brought to book. The safety and protection of lives must remain a top priority, and we urge government and security agencies to strengthen proactive security measures to prevent any recurrence of such violence.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the families who have lost loved ones and to everyone affected by these events. We pray for comfort, healing, and strength for all who mourn. May the peace of God rest upon our land and restore hope in every troubled heart.

At this time, we also call on all citizens of Plateau State to remain united and vigilant. We must refuse division and stand together in love and peace against this common enemy of violence and fear. Together, we will rise stronger.

Plateau shall know peace again.

Congratulations to Rev. Dr. Dunka Gomwalk and the Church on the Plateau on his emergence as Plateau State CAN Chairman.

Rev. Dr. Dunka Gomwalk has emerged as the new Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Plateau State Chapter, following a successful election and inauguration ceremony held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Usiju World Event Center, Jos.

Other newly inaugurated executive members include:

Pastor Simon Julius Arabo – Secretary

Rev. Fr. Timothy Dabot – Assistant Secretary

SP (AP) Williams Oresanya – Treasurer.

REPORT ON COURTESY VISIT TO THE LEADERSHIP OF PFN PLATEAU STATE BY THE LEADERSHIP OF FOGMMON PLATEAU STATE.

As part of the activities marking the 11th Anniversary of FOGMMON Global, the leadership of the Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria (FOGMMON), Plateau State Chapter, on 21st August 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the leadership of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Plateau State, under the chairmanship of Rev. Dunka Gomwalk.

The visit was aimed at strengthening our bond of service within the Body of Christ, fostering synergy in the propagation of the gospel, and reaffirming our commitment to working together for the edification of believers and the expansion of God’s Kingdom.

The PFN leadership graciously welcomed us and extended warm fellowship. The atmosphere was refreshing and inspiring, reaffirming our shared mission of raising the banner of Christ over Plateau State and beyond. Together, both leaderships emphasized the importance of serving the Christian community with diligence, harnessing our collective strengths, and partnering strategically to reach the nations through the gospel of Christ.

The engagement proved highly impactful, providing not only mutual encouragement but also establishing a firm foundation for stronger collaboration between PFN Plateau and FOGMMON Plateau. This partnership, we believe, will inspire more kingdom-driven initiatives, deepen unity in the Body of Christ, and contribute to a greater harvest of souls.

We remain deeply grateful for the warmth, openness, and hospitality of the PFN leadership, and we are committed to building on this renewed partnership for the advancement of the gospel in our generation.
