WHERE HERITAGE DANCES | 2026

A celebration of culture, movement, memory, and identity.

The female figure symbolizes identity, beauty, and resilience, while the dancers and drummer evoke memories of community, storytelling, and celebration. Layers of abstract marks and traditional motifs connect past and present, creating a visual rhythm that honours heritage while embracing contemporary expression.

Through vibrant colour, texture, and movement, I explore how culture continues to live, evolve, and inspire across generations.

I am continuing to explore the relationship between African heritage, cultural identity, memory, and contemporary art, creating work that carries stories from the past while speaking to the present.

I’m open to connecting with art collectors, galleries, curators, and art lovers interested in contemporary African art and culturally rooted work.

“Home is more than a place—it is memory, culture, and identity.

This piece weaves together African landscapes, traditional patterns, and the quiet strength of womanhood into a single silhouette. Every pattern tells a story, every color carries a memory, and every journey leads back to our roots.

Acrylic on canvas.
