No Victor No Vanquished

It was with great joy and happiness that the good people of Iwaya received the good news of the emergence of Oba Suleiman Oloko Owolabi Muritala Aremu Oloko Ade-Ori-Okin II as the new Olu of Iwaya.

It was a well deserved ascension since the demise of Oba Muritala Aremu Oloko Ade-Ori-Okin I. It was a struggle among those interested in the throne and their numerous supporters.

At the end of the day it was the wish of God has been fulfilled. Alhamdu lillah Rabbil-alamin. There's no doubt that "the voice of the people is the voice of God " It is therefore, not a surprise that the indigenes of Iwaya came out en masse with pump and pageantry to rejoice with their king Ade-Ori-Okin II as he officially moved to the new Ultramodern Palace.

It's now time for reconciliation among supporters of those who keenly contested for the number one position in Iwaya. There's no room to make a mockery of anyone. This is rather a time to come together and rally around our new, young, vibrant, progressive, accommodating, tolerant, social, well cultured, amiable, responsible, industrious and handsome King His Royal Majesty Oba Suleiman Owolabi Muritala Aremu Oloko Ade-Ori-Okin II to collectively take Iwaya to greater heights.

Special thanks to His Excellency Governor Babajide -Olu, the executive governor of Lagos State.

The role played by Honourable Kayode Omiyale the executive chairman of Yaba LCDA in the rigorous selection process is also highly appreciated.

We also appreciate everyone that contributed positively through the struggle for the seat of the Olu of Iwaya.

It is our fervent prayer that he shall have a very long, peaceful and prosperous reign.

Tribute To His Majesty Oba Muritala Aremu Ogun-Oloko (Olu of Iwaya)

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
