I'm thankful for the gift, for the journey's sake...

Through trials and triumphs, you've been my guide,
Illuminating paths, where shadows reside..
Your love and care, a constant theme,
A melody that soothes my soul's deep dream...

As this year's getting to an end, and a new one's getting to begins,
I pray for many more, filled with hope within..

They say, “He who walks with dogs, must eat the dirt they tread,”
But I've walked those paths, and still raised my head..
Among the clouds of smoke and cups held high,
Yet never once did I reach for the sky...

I've laughed with the loud, danced through their nights,
But my own compass has guided my flights..
Not every friend defines who I am,
For I’m water in fire, calm in the jam...

Intentions are anchors when the storm is loud,
I stood on my truth, not lost in the crowd..
So don’t judge my road by the steps beside,
My soul chose the light, though in shadows I ride...

Let actions speak louder than where I’ve been,
The heart stays pure, though it walked through sin..
Even among wolves, a lamb can survive,
For, not all who walk with fire burn alive.

Irony wraps me in its bitter fold;
A poet lost in words, yet linguistics cold..
I weave verses, a master of emotional play,
Yet grammar's rules, a puzzle each day...

My mind is a canvas, vibrant with poetic hue,
But linguistic nuances, a maze anew..
I dance with metaphors, and sing with rhyme,
Yet syntax and semantics, a constant crime...

How do I craft lines that touch the heart and soul,
When grammar's complexities take their toll..?
I'm a poet, not a linguist, I confess,
Yet words are my livelihood, my daily stress...

The irony stings, the challenge is real;
To create beauty, while linguistic rules I conceal..
But still I write, through trial and error's fire,
And hope that my words, will reach and inspire.

The brightest star will dim one day,
Even the sun must fade away...

So wear your crown with quiet grace,
No need to boast, no need to race..
For time will test both loud and low,
And only roots will help you grow...

Today you rise, the world may cheer,
But pride can blind, and truth draws near..
What’s here today may go tomorrow,
Joy can turn, from joy to sorrow...

So walk in strength, but bow in heart,
Let kindness be your truest part..
For those who shine and yet stay small,
Will stand the longest, through it all.

I do not rush, I do not race,
I move with purpose, set my pace..
Each little step, though slow it seems,
But building bridges to my dreams...

While others chase the flash and fame,
I water roots, not just the name..
For silent work and steady grind
Will always leave the noise behind...

Not every day will glow or shine,
But I still show up, rain and fine..
Because I know what few can see;
The true reward is consistency...

So let them doubt or look away,
I’m showing up, come what may..
And when success comes into view,
It’ll know I stayed and I followed through.

I’ve seen the smiles that never stay,
The kind that shine, then fade away..
I’ve felt the touch that hides a lie,
And heard sweet words that make hearts cry...

So now I seek a gentler flame,
Not drawn by beauty, wealth, or name..,
But by a heart that's kind and true;
A soul that sees, and feels me too...

Give me love that's pure, not dressed,
A quiet peace, not just impressed..
A pretty face may catch the eye,
But real love sees what lies inside...

So I won’t kneel to charm that's fake,
Or give my heart for ego’s sake..
I’d rather walk alone with grace,
Than lose myself in a flawless face.
