To me, art must be rooted in culture, identity, and history. Collecting my art is like holding a piece of my reality as a person. The Sisters Series is all about redefining how women are perceived in society. Yoruba culture and history celebrate women as great ‘leaders’ and ‘warriors’, and as the only son with three sisters my mother, my assignment is to document this series and Celebrate Womanhood.
