Spend time on the lagoon through listening, reflection, and action.
At the center of the experience is a prompt:
“In the future, the Lagos Lagoon will—”
Your response is recorded, transcribed, and added to a growing archive. You can then select words to type, which attempts to power a trash-collection mechanism in the water.
Across the barge, other works invite you to:
Work with a map of the lagoon –marking how much of it you would claim, and reflecting on ideas of ownership and access.
Choose to wade into the water to submit a message or complaint, creating a direct, physical encounter with the lagoon.
Read through a series of notes, images, and reflections that position the lagoon as both subject and witness.
You are invited to move through the space at your own pace –listen, read, contribute, or simply observe.
See you on the water!
