*ASH WEDNESDAY*
*Isaiah 58:5*
*Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for people to humble themselves?* *Is it only for bowing oneβs head like a reed and for lying in sackcloth and ashes?* *Is that what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the LORD?*
To us all, we greet each and every member of this great Choir in the name of our Lord Jesus ChristππΌ.
Ash Wednesday opens the journey of 40 days fasting and prayer. As a choosing Vessel unto honor, this is the time we humble ourselves, this is the time we desist from evil acts, this is the time to stay far away from sin, *people are not reading the bible anymore but they read fellow buddies.* Therefore, we've to stay away from all sorts of evil actsππ».
This is the period we only mention Glory(Ogo) in the Church. We should limit our dressings and everything attached to it.
We urge us all to keep every hour to pray for everyone and even our enemies. Remember, fasting is part of journey, but if there's no strength for the fasting, make sure you try and complete in Spirit. Lastly, our periods of service, we should keep them in mindπ.
We pray, we've started it well, we shall all end it well. By the time to celebrate Easter, none of us will be found missing or dead. Come years to be celebrated, we shall all be among the living looking good souls IMNJCππΌ.
On behalf of the Choirmaster and the Executives, we wish everyone of us happy Ash Wednesday and till the end, it shall be well with us IJN!
