Another meaningful conversation for the future of African music during our Road to 10th AFRIMA in Morocco. The International Executive Committee of AFRIMA led by AFRIMA President & Executive Producer, Mr. Mike Dada, met with Ms. Asmaa Belkeziz, Vice President of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council, to discuss opportunities for collaboration and the region’s interest in hosting AFRIMA.

As Morocco’s largest region and one of North Africa’s leading economic and cultural centres, Casablanca-Settat reaffirmed its readiness to welcome artists, delegates, music professionals, and visitors from across Africa and the diaspora.

The meeting highlighted a shared commitment to using music, culture, and the creative industries to strengthen connections across the continent.

Our Road to 10th AFRIMA in Morocco took us to the headquarters of HIT RADIO HIT RADIO in Rabat, where the AFRIMA delegation, led by President & Executive Producer Mr. Mike Dada Mike Dada ,was warmly welcomed by Founder & CEO Younes Boumehdi and his amazing team.

From an exciting tour of the studios to inspiring conversations about the future of African music and potential collaboration between AFRIMA and HIT RADIO, it was an afternoon filled with great ideas, genuine hospitality, and, of course, some delicious Moroccan cuisine. 🇲🇦

Special thanks to Mr. Marwane Farchane, Marwane Fachane Member of the International Jury of AFRIMA representing Northern Africa, for facilitating the visit.

Fun fact: This is actually our second visit to HIT RADIO, following our first stop at their Casablanca office back in 2015.

Today, HIT RADIO is Morocco’s leading youth radio station, connecting more than 3.3 million daily listeners and championing young voices, contemporary music, and creativity. Its influence also extends beyond Morocco into Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Gabon, Niger, Chad, and Togo.

Here’s to stronger connections, bigger ideas, and more opportunities to take African music to the world!

Africa's biggest music conversation is bigger than music.
Steve Ayorinde , Chairman of AFRIMA's International Media Committee and former Lagos State Commissioner for Information , shares why AFRIMA remains one of Africa's strongest platforms for telling the continent's story through music, culture and creativity.

For him, AFRIMA is not just celebrating stars; it's building bridges across countries, creating opportunities for young creatives and projecting Africa's rich cultural identity to the world.
As Africa's creative economy continues to rise, platforms like AFRIMA are helping to shape a new narrative — one driven by talent, innovation and continental unity.

Africa is louder when every region is in the mix.

AFRIMA Music Ambassador for Morocco, Ahmed Soultan, is seeing more Northern African artistes tap into the AFRIMA movement — and for good reason.
For him, AFRIMA isn't just another awards platform. It's a space where African cultures connect, collaborations happen and African music gets pushed to bigger stages around the world.

With AFRIMA's unique partnership with the African Union, Soultan believes Northern African artistes have a golden opportunity to connect with the rest of the continent, build new audiences and take their sound global.
Different languages. Different rhythms. One Africa.

When Africa's creative leaders speak, the continent listens.

Multiple award-winning filmmaker, actor and entrepreneur, Kunle Afolayan, joins the conversation in Casablanca, Morocco, sharing powerful insights on why AFRIMA remains one of Africa's most important platforms for cultural integration, creative collaboration and the promotion of African heritage through music.

Speaking during the AFRIMA Conference at the Marriott Hotel, Casablanca, Afolayan emphasized the role of music and the creative industries in connecting African people, preserving our stories and projecting the continent's identity to the world.

As Africa continues to strengthen its creative economy, voices like his remind us that culture remains one of our greatest assets.
Watch. Listen. Be inspired.

Something big is brewing for African music, culture and the creative economy.

AFRIMA and in partnership with African Union today held a productive high-level engagement with the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, led by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid.

The strategic meeting focused on expanding opportunities for African creatives, strengthening cultural exchange, empowering young people and advancing Africa's creative ecosystem on the global stage.

With AFRIMA President Mike Dada leading the delegation, the conversations reflected a shared vision for a stronger, more connected and more influential African creative industry.
The future of African music is being shaped through collaboration, innovation and bold partnerships.

The conversations were flowing. The ideas were flying.

The AFRIMA Soirée Casablanca wasn't just about gathering people in one room—it was about meaningful engagement between creatives, media professionals, cultural leaders, policymakers and industry stakeholders.

Every handshake sparked a conversation. Every conversation opened a new possibility.

This is exactly what the Road to the 10th AFRIMA is about: connecting Africa's creative ecosystem and building the future together.
