God's Grace brought him to the UK, and he messed it up😢.
This guy, Adenola Akindutire thought he had escaped the system.
He planned it carefully.
Posing as a genuine buyer, he arranged a meeting through Facebook Marketplace to purchase a Rolex watch.
But it wasn’t a purchase.
When he met the seller in Hayes, London, he stabbed the man, robbed him of the Rolex, and fled the scene.
The victim survived, but with life-changing injuries.
After the attack in January, he left the UK, travelled to another country, and later returned using a false identity, believing the trail had gone cold.
For months, he moved freely.
Then one ordinary day in Stratford, he walked past a street camera.
Live Facial Recognition flagged him.
Police stopped him.
He presented false documents.
He altered his voice.
He tried to explain inconsistencies.
But the system wasn’t listening to stories.
Investigations has him linked to:
Robbery
Attempted robbery
Grievous bodily harm
Possession of false identity documents
Two counts of carrying bladed weapons
A similar Rolex robbery months earlier
He found no where to run and no more lies to tell.
So, he pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court.
And got sentenced to 8 years and 6 months in prison.
Detectives described him as a violent offender who posed an ongoing threat while evading capture.
This is not a story about nationality.
It is not about background.
It is about choices and systems.
The UK is not a place where:
❌ You disappear and restart
❌ Fake identities erase records
❌ Technology can be outsmarted
The streets are monitored.
Borders are linked.
Data is patient.
For migrants, students, and visitors, the lesson is clear:
👉 Live clean
👉 Respect the law
👉 Don’t confuse temporary freedom with escape
Abroad, consequences travel faster than excuses.
