Today, I went looking for clay. đş
And honestly? It wasnât as simple as I imagined.
I went out in preparation for my ceramics journey, thinking I was just going to find clay.
Instead, I found myself walking through a busy bush, digging beneath layers of sand, searching, getting tired, getting dirty, and wondering if all this stress would actually be worth it.
But eventually⌠we found the clay. đ¤
And as I held that raw piece of earth in my hands, I realized something:
Sometimes, what youâre looking for isnât sitting on the surface.
You have to dig deeper.
You have to be willing to get uncomfortable.
You have to keep searching when the first few attempts donât work.
You have to get your hands dirty before you can create something beautiful.
That clay didnât look like much when we found it.
But I know that with patience, skill, water, pressure, and fire, it can become something completely different.
And maybe thatâs how our own journeys work too.
The process may be messy. The beginning may be difficult. The destination may not be clear yet. But that doesnât mean youâre on the wrong path.
Today wasnât just about finding clay.
It was my first reminder that beautiful things are often buried beneath difficult beginnings.
And yesâŚ
The stress was worth it. đ¤đş
Hereâs to the beginning of my ceramics journey.
One piece of clay at a time.
