SUSTAIN THE VIRTUES OF RAMADAN; CELEBRATE EID WITH MODICUM OF DECENCY: HON. MUSA KOLAWOLE OLALEKAN (MKO) REJOICES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFUL
As the radiant crescent of fulfilment emerges, heralding the end of the sacred month of Ramadan, a foremost House of Representatives hopeful under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Musa Kolawole Olalekan, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across Ibadan Northeast State Constituency 2, Oyo State, Nigeria, and beyond.
In a goodwill message released by his media office to mark the successful completion of the holy fast, Hon. Musa Kolawole Olalekan rejoiced with Muslim faithful on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, describing Ramadan as a deeply transformative spiritual experience.
Ramadan is not merely a season of abstinence; it is a sacred journey of the soul, one that refines character, strengthens faith, and rekindles the eternal virtues of compassion, sacrifice, humility, and total submission to the will of Allah,” he stated.
He further emphasized that the lessons of Ramadan transcend the 30-day period, noting that, “Beyond hunger lies discipline, beyond thirst lies patience, and beyond the physical lies a profound spiritual awakening. These are enduring values meant to shape our lives, our communities, and our collective destiny.”
At a time when unity and purposeful leadership are most needed, Hon. Musa Kolawole Olalekan urged constituents to sustain the noble virtues cultivated during Ramadan.
Let us preserve the spirit of love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. Let the light ignited during this holy month continue to illuminate our actions, our relationships, and our commitment to building a better society. This is not the time to revert to old habits, but to rise with renewed purpose,” he asserted.
While congratulating the Muslim faithful on witnessing Eid, he called for moderation and reflection in celebration.
As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, let it be marked by modesty, gratitude, and a deep sense of responsibility. Let us extend hands of kindness to the less privileged, share our joy with neighbours and strangers alike, and uphold the dignity that defines us as people of faith.”
He added that the enduring values of Ramadan provide a moral compass for societal renewal.
“In these defining moments of our national journey, the principles of Ramadan offer us a pathway to rebuild trust, strengthen unity, and restore hope in our collective future.
Together, through shared responsibility and genuine compassion, we can shape a constituency and a nation that reflect our highest ideals.”
Hon. Musa Kolawole Olalekan concluded with prayers for continued peace, prosperity, and divine acceptance.
May this Eid usher in renewed strength, abiding peace, and abundant blessings. May Allah accept our acts of worship, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us the grace to witness many more in unity, good health, and prosperity.
Eid Mubarak!
