Some stories remind you that healing is not only personal — it is collective.
At Ed Media House, we had the privilege of documenting a powerful moment with Olamma Cares Foundation as women gathered for an ecotherapy session through the Umè Healing Circle.
For over a decade, the foundation has held space for women through therapy, storytelling, and community. But this time, the conversation went deeper — exploring the connection between healing ourselves and caring for the earth.
One of the most profound moments took us to the Waste Museum in Moniya, Ibadan, led by AdeJumoke Olowookere — a space that shows how restoration is possible when we begin to treat the earth differently.
Through ecotherapy, women are now being encouraged to create small healing gardens in their communities — spaces where nature, reflection, and restoration meet.
On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate women not only as nurturers of people, but also as stewards of the earth and the future.
Because when women heal, communities heal.
And when we care for the earth, we protect the generations to come.
