Date 11TH OCTOBER, 2026

TOPIC: THE FEAR OF GOD AND HOW DOES IT BRING DIVINE WISDOM

⚓Scripture: Psalm 111: 10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! In continuation of what we started yesterday on the subject of the fear of God, we established that the fear of God and the fear of the LORD means the same thing. We also said it is the foundation of Divine wisdom! We went further to examine what does it means to have the fear of God and today we shall continue to look at what does it mean to have the fear of the LORD/ the fear of God.

*What does it mean to have the fear of the LORD?*

It is quite unfortunate that many people understand the fear of the LORD as being scared of whom God is, and as such they shiver or are afraid to come close to God. Infact to run away from the presence of God that is their definition of fear of the LORD. But what does the Bible said about the fear of the LORD? The Bible have the following as the fear of the LORD;

I. It means to stand in awe of God (Ps.33:8)

II. It means to have an exalted view of God. (Ps.22:23).( For more details check yesterday meditation)

III. The fear of the LORD means to hate evil, pride and arrogancy: If truly you fear God, you must hate evil , you will not condole it, neither will you watch it. You will say no to evil in all ramifications. Infact you will say no to all forms of sins. You can't be romancing sin and claim to fear God! Infact, walking in deliberate sin either to prove a point or whatever is the reason shows lack of the fear of God. If you fear God then say no to sin like Joseph, the Bible said:

*Genesis 42:18 And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:*

*Genesis 39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?*

Besides, you can't be walking in pride and arrogance and claim to fear God (Prov. 8:13)

*Proverbs 8: 13. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate* .

IV. The fear of the LORD means to adore him. It means to surrender to God In love. You are not coharse, compelled or force to do anything for God. You render your service as an acts of love for God. And because you love Him above all else, you can trust Him because whom you love you don't suspect! Many of us can not trust God because something is wrong with our love for God! To fear God therefore is to reverence, to glorify and to love him above all else.

V. The fear of the LORD means to be childlike in our approach to God. It also means to have a childlike attitude towards God! It is to relate to Him as a child relates to his strong, respectable father. We respect and honour the Lord, and we are afraid of displeasing Him. Therefore, we obey Him.

VI. The fear of the LORD means to dwell upon His beautiful, glorious holiness which is the very opposite of sin and evil, and to revere God and know that He loves us so much that He desires us to hate and turn away from sin.

*1 Peter 1: 16. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.*

*Proverbs 8: 13. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.*

The fear of the LORD is to hate what God hates! This is why we are admonished:

*2 Corinthians 7: 1. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.*

Abraham went to Egypt and he saw something that made him to conclude that there's no fear of God there:

*Genesis 20: 11. And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.*

Beloved, the fear of God can be seen! Abraham saw it absent in Egypt. What about our own life, is the fear of God present or absent? Our daily lives should display referential fear of God as a life style of the Redeemed! Lack of the fear of God is an Egyptian lifestyle, but you are no longer in Egypt by redemption! By redemption you belong to the kingdom of God:

*1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:*

And because you are born again, you are now in marvellous light, hence we are commanded to be holy:

*1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:*

Beloved, the Egyptians life that is void of the fear of God must be avoided at all costs because it does not support the wisdom of God ! For the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom (Ps.111:10).

*How does the the fear of the LORD bring wisdom?*

A. The fear of the LORD produce knowledge and knowledge is the base for wisdom:

*Proverbs 1: 7. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.*

B. The fear of the LORD is a confidence booster and when confidence is boosted you can be sure of wisdom:

*Proverbs 14: 26. In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge* .

C. The fear of the LORD gives you life because wisdom for avoiding sins and habit that can destroyed your life is released to you.

*Proverbs 14: 27. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.*

D. It gives you a covenant platform that enables you to access secrets that that make you a star:

*Psalm 25: 14. The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.*

TOPIC: THE FEAR OF GOD, THE FOUNDATION OF DIVINE WISDOM
⚓Scripture : Psalm 111: 10. The fear of the LORD is the BEGINNING of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Divine Wisdom is an operation of the Holy Spirit that impart Wisdom. It is not gotten on the street! Neither is it by reading books or by experience! It is not even from Satan because it is not in the earth realm! That is why it is called wisdom from above. Today we seek to understand the foundation of this wisdom that that is key to open doors.

*What is foundation?*
According to Merriam Webster dictionary foundation is the basis (such as a tenet, principle, or axiom) upon which something stands or is supported.

So when we talk about foundation of wisdom, we mean the basis upon which it stands. If it wisdom of God, it has foundation.
The Bible which is also refers to as compendium of wisdom, never leave us in the dark as per the foundation of this divine wisdom. From the book of Job, the Bible presented to us a series of questions that pointed out the foundation of this Divine wisdom. The Bible said:
*Job 28: 20. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? 21. Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air. 22. Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears. 23. God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof. 28. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.*

The long discussion was rounded up by saying "Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom"! Again Our anchor scripture has this to say:
*Psalm 111: 10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: ...*

If we should marry the two scriptures together, we can simply deduce the following:
I. Wisdom originated from God as it is imparted by the Holy Spirit.

II. The fear of God you have is directly proportional to the wisdom of God at work in your life. So if you want to walk in higher wisdom then walk in the fear of God more.

III. Wisdom is birth in you the day you start living your life in the fear of God.

IV. Wisdom begins with the fear of God and is maintained with the fear of God. The day you stop living in the fear of God, wisdom and understanding start exiting your life.

V. When you learn to fear God, wisdom will begin to grow in you. This is exactly what happens the moment you make Jesus Christ the Fountain of wisdom, the Lord of your life! It means you have taken heed to the call of wisdom (Prov. 8:1).

Based on the above deduction, we are safe to say, the foundation of wisdom is the fear of the LORD!

Please note the word Lord in this context means God because both words are synonymous (Exo.15:26, 20:2; Deut.28:1). So when we say the fear of God we mean the same thing as the fear of the LORD.
Hence by foundation of wisdom we mean the bedrock, the basis, the cornerstone of wisdom is the FEAR OF GOD/THE LORD! Wisdom comes from somewhere and that is the fear of God!Every other sources of wisdom must stand on the foundation - which is the fear of the God.

*What then is the fear of the LORD/God?*
The fear of God does not mean to be scared of God or afraid of who God is! The fear of God means two things;
A. To stand in awe of God. To stand in awe means a strong feeling of fear or respect and also wonder for God:
*Let all the earth FEAR the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world STAND IN AWE OF HIM! (Psalm 33:8).*

Beloved, do you fear God when you stand in disrespect to your creator? Do you fear God when talking to God? If you fear God you will not be talking to God and at the same time talking to man on your phone! The fear of God will make you suspend all phone calls when it is time for prayer in your personal life. We have even extended it to church, and that's why you could see people busy chatting and answering calls why the service is going on, because that is what we do at home, charity begins at home. If we learn to respect God with our phones at home, we can easily do the same in the church. Do you know that the phone you can not leave for a service of two hours will be forgotten when calamity struck? So why don't you learn to be without a phone for some time just to be with God? It is time for us to evaluate our fear of God! If you have regards for God you will not steal from that which is tagged God's money! No body will ever dare to touch the sacrifice kept on any shrine that is meant for the devil, yet people steal on the altar of God. If you can't steal from the altar of Satan, why trying it on the altar of God? There are instances where People fornicate inside church building a place dedicated to the worship of God and commit all manners of atrocities in church premises! That certainly is not a show of fear of God. The fear of God is to stand in awe of Him! Deep reference for Him!

B.To have an exalted view of God. To see God in all His glory and then respond to Him appropriately. Our response to this exalted view of God is an attitude of worship! An attitude of absolute surrender! If you find it difficult to praise God, prostrate, or kneel down or roll on the floor as your response to the exalted view of God, your fear of God is questionable:
*You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! (Psalm 22:23)*

Beloved, let your praise of Jehovah stems out of your view of Him! Until that happens, you can not give accurate praise to God. If you see eyes that are wet during worship sessions, don't mock those eyes because he/she is seeing what you are not seeing. Tears rolling down from people's cheek during worship is an indication that they are seeing God in an exalted view, they are seeing God from a perspective that is different from others, that's why they can easily kneel down, roll on the floor or prostrate before God. This is the fear of God, to have an exalted view of God.

*Assignment:* Do a soul searching of yourself to know if you really fear God because the Divine wisdom begins with the fear of God .

TOPIC : WHAT KIND OF CHILDREN ARE BIRTH BY WISDOM (PART 3 )
⚓Scripture :Luke 7: 35. But wisdom is justified of all her children.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! In continuation of the kind of children that are birth by divine wisdom. We've established that when you recieve divine wisdom your life will be characterized by certain outcomes that is termed children birth by wisdom! Previously, we identify two of the children birth by wisdom. Today, we shall continue from where we stop yesterday.

*What are the children birth by wisdom?*
I. Long life (Prov.3:16): When you recieve divine wisdom you are bound to live long. It is quite unfortunate that many are still dying young because they disregard the wisdom of God by their lifestyle.

*What are the lifestyle to avoid if you must live long?*
A. s*xual sins
B. Abuse of oneself through food and drinks
C. A lifestyle of anger (Ecc. 7: 9).
D. A lifestyle of bitterness (Heb.12:15)

II. The second child birth by wisdom is Riches (Prov.3:16). When wisdom is recieved, she gives us the key to wealth. Obeying both the physical law of prosperity which is values creation and the spiritual law of sowing and reaping brings us into a wealthy place.

III. Honour (Prov.8:18): This is the third child birth by divine wisdom. God does not want you to struggle for honour, so He gave the key to honour as wisdom! The Bible said exalt wisdom and she will promote you to honour.
*Proverbs 4: 8. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her* .

Honour is a realm, but many think it is just a right, hence they fight for it and neglect the usher! The usher that will take you to honour is wisdom. If you want to escape the life of dishonour, shame and disgrace then strife for honour. Once divine wisdom lands on you, your life becomes honorable.

IV. Promotion: When you see stagnation wisdom is absent! When wisdom arrives in your life you are bound to make constructive progress. Wisdom forbids to remain on one spot for to long. This is why the Bible said:
*Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.*

V. A life well defended that is void of frustration:
*Ecclesiastes 7: 12. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.*

When your life possess the wisdom from above, one of her children is to ensure your is shielded from frustrating circumstances. And she does that by giving you directions. Many of us are frustrated right now because we lack directions. When we lack directions we are stuck and life can be very frustrating. This is why the Bible said:.
*Ecclesiastes 10:15 The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.*

Observe the clause "he knoweth not how" - meaning you don't know how to move from where you are to where you desire to be and that's what breed frustration.
Many believers are developing high blood pressure because of negligence of wisdom. Wisdom shows you the next thing to do, how to do it and when to do it. However, If it is absent, frustration, struggle, hardship are inevitable no wonder the Bible said:.
*Ecclesiastes 10:10 If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.*

*How does she defend us from frustration?*
Wisdom is indeed a defence because it gives specific instructions that is meant for us. This is what is called hidden wisdom:
*1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:*

Observe the clause "the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory" - the hidden wisdom is your own custom made instructions that is meant to guarantee a life of glory. This instruction is not for everyone but just for you only that is why it is hidden.

Beloved, do you desire long life, riches and honour, escaping stagnation, and a life void of frustration, then you must be a student in the school of wisdom!

*How do you become a student in school of wisdom ?*
A. Be born again (Jn. 3:3)
B. Be in love with wisdom (Prov.8:17)
C. Acknowledge your need of wisdom (Jam. 1:5)
D. Ask for wisdom (Matt. 7:7)

*Remember this* : Heaven is real and hell is real, where do you want to spend eternity. Make your choice today.
*Prayer points* :
~ Father thank you for your word to me today,
~ Father, I receive grace to love wisdom, exalt her and to enjoy the children birth by wisdom in Jesus's name.
*Prophetic Declaration:*
~The grace to obey scriptures that will lunch you into high flyer and healthy life, receive it now in Jesus name.
~ Receive the wisdom that eliminate hardship and frustration in the name of Jesus.

*Assignment* : Seek for wisdom from above that gives direction that shield life from frustrating circumstances.

TOPIC : WHAT ARE THE KIND OF CHILDREN BIRTH BY WISDOM?
⚓Scripture :Luke 7: 35. But wisdom is justified of all her children.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Divine wisdom is known for certain qualities that when received produce certain outcomes that we refer to as children birth by wisdom. Today, we shall be looking at some of these children birth by wisdom.

From our anchor scripture:
*Luke 7: 35. But wisdom is justified of all her children.*

We observed that the Bible is saying wisdom has children! And if that is true, then the outcomes of the results of our lives is a justification of the kind of wisdom at work in us.
*Does wisdom truly have children?*
Yes, she does! The children of wisdom is simply the product of wisdom, the results or the consequences that characterized the reception of wisdom. If truly I have received wisdom from above what happens next in my life are the children birth by wisdom that validate it

*What then are the children birth by wisdom?*
I. Long life (Prov. 3:16): Our world is full of men and women who are dying young daily because of lack of wisdom! Long life is what God proposed for you and I, but it can be cut short if we reject wisdom.

*2 Samuel 3: 33. And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Abner died as a fool dieth?*
In other words Abner why did you die like a fool? It is only a man that is void of wisdom that will see death and still permit it. Today, men are still towing the path that leads to death daily like Abner of old.

God desire every one of us to live long on earth! However, lack of wisdom can cut short one's life on earth when you choose to live a life style that is void of wisdom premature death will be inevitable.
*What are the lifestyle that shows lack of wisdom?*
A. Sexual immorality:
*Proverbs 2: 10. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 16. To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; 18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.*
*Proverbs 6: 32. But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.*

It will amaze you if you know the number of believers who are swimming in the ocean of s*xual sin daily without knowing the damages they are doing to themselves! If only many are aware that there is s*xually transmitted demons(STD) besides s*xually transmitted infection(STI) and Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), they would have advised themselves to stop s*xual sin. Both married and unmarried alike, the demons have no regards for you when you show your lack of wisdom. To the married, after contacting such demons they take them home to sleep with their spouses and also infect the innocent spouse with the same demons, before you know it, an atmosphere of hatred, unnecessary quarrel builds up in the home. The love in the marriage dies off and the marriage collapses in the long run! To the single, they end up living promiscuous lives, that made it easy to find s*x partners but difficult to get a husband that will settle down with them! The worst of it all is death! Many have died spiritually and even physically because of romancing with the sin of immorality! If you are involved then it shows a lack of wisdom! The era we are in now, it is only wisdom that can deliver you from strange men and women! They will come softly as a friend, as a colleague, as a church member, as a caring person, etc. Before long, you have fallen to their tricks.

B. Food and drinks; What you eat and drink can either prolonged your life or cut short your life! If you eat healthy that is wisdom but when you eat any how be ready to face the consequences. There are believers who still indulge in taking alcoholic drinks! Others get stuck to carbonated and caffeineted drinks excessively. Those who smoke cigarette will see it clearly written on the pack that smokers are liable to die young! Yet that did not stop them smoking. All our dietary patterns shows presence or lack of wisdom.

Beloved, do you desire long life, seek wisdom! To hate wisdom is to cut your life short because wisdom is justified of her children!

*How do you seek wisdom?*
Come to Jesus Christ the fountain of wisdom! Surrender to Jesus today!
*1 Corinthians 1: 24. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.*

MOMENT OF DAILY ENCOUNTER (MODE)

TOPIC : HOW DO I KNOW I'M IN NEED OF WISDOM?
⚓Scripture :James 1: 5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Previously, we established that Divine wisdom is key to open doors! However the possibility exists in every man to be bankrupt of Divine wisdom and not be aware of it! Today, we seek to answer the question how do I know I'm in need of wisdom?

Our anchor scripture reveals that it is possible to lack wisdom even as a Christian(Jam.1:5)! This scripture begins with a rhetorical question "If any of you lack wisdom,... "! This is an address to believers/Christian! So it is possible to exist as a Christian and lack wisdom. This obviously, is one question that so many believers will shy away from probably because they don't want to be address as a fool because the opposite of wisdom is foolishness. Hence they don't want to admit their lack of wisdom. But the evidence of lack of wisdom is there in many lives.

Moreover, there are those who acknowledge their lack of wisdom but do nothing about it.
Beloved, God is not satisfied with us acknowledging our limitation or lack of wisdom rather to press further to request for it. We don't just stop at admitting our lack of wisdom but rather go on to take necessary action steps that leads to recieving wisdom. The beautiful thing about our God is that He will not denied us our request when we ask for wisdom. The Bible describe Him thus;
*Jam.1:5..... God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.*

Beloved, if you discover your lack of wisdom don't be ashamed to ask. It is even more painful when you are not aware of your lack of wisdom yet the evidence of lack of wisdom shows in your life! Remember wisdom in this context means Divine wisdom, so we are not insulting your intelligence because education has a kind of wisdom it conferred on a man but as established previously book wisdom is limited, so you need something heavier than earthly or book wisdom.

*What are the evidence that shows our lack of Divine wisdom? :*
I. Recycling of failure that produce pains and frustrations! Repetitive failure and pains again and again is a clear evidence that Divine wisdom is absent in anyone's life. It is possible to fail at least once or twice which should serve as a lesson to us, but when it becomes a repetitive affairs, then wisdom from above is absent. When Divine wisdom is on ground, it delivers grace that forbid failure again and again and it stops things that bring pains.
*Proverbs 4: 9. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.*

You are expected to rise from level to level in glory because the wisdom of God is ordained for our glory just as the Bible said :
*Proverbs 4: 18. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.*

Therefore to have a repetitive failures, pains upon pain breed restlessness which obviously is a sign of not knowing what to do - and that is lack of Wisdom! When you know what to do, you will avoid such repetitive pain and then make progressive motion that leads to open doors.

II. The Presence of Incessant quarrel and fighting in the homes: If you notice quarrel and fighting all the time in your family life, then wisdom is lacking. The Bible said:
*Proverbs 14: 1. Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.*

A home that wisdom is reigning, you can see an atmosphere of peace and serenity! But when worldly Wisdom is on display, you see rancour and acrimony, quarrel and fighting all the times. That is obvious evidence that Divine wisdom is lacking. There is wisdom of speech making which every woman must have to build her home, absence of such wisdom is mis-use of their verbal power that tear down peace in the homes.

III. The inability to provide leadership. If you can not lead or provide leadership is a sure sign of lack of Divine wisdom! The Bible said:
*Proverbs 8: 15. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.*

It takes wisdom to lead people, if you find it difficult to lead, then wisdom is absent. And every where there is excellent leadership whether in society, at home, school or in the church, wisdom is at work because men lead by wisdom.

IV. The Presence of stagnation. When your life is not making progress at all despite the effort put in, then be sure wisdom is absent! The Bible said:
*Proverbs 4: 8. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.*
The above scripture reveals that wisdom has capacity to promote you if you exalt her! This implies that promotion is a function of wisdom, therefore stagnation is obviously a lack of wisdom. Anywhere you see stagnation, lack of growth, One thing is missing and that is wisdom.

V. Lack of Honour : (Prov. 4: 8). Honour is what goes with promotion and promotion is attracted by wisdom, hence lack of wisdom equals dishonour!

Beloved, the evidence given above the most important evidence that shows my need of wisdom. It is now left for me to vet my life if truly there's lack of wisdom or not.

Beloved are you tired of labouring without nothing to show for it? Are you tired of repeating thesame mistakes every now and then? Are you tired of a life of stagnation! Are you tired of every day quarrel in the home? If yes then apply for Divine wisdom! God wouldn't deny you if you come to him acknowledging your lack of wisdom.

*After acknowledging your of lack of wisdom, then ask for it:*
James 1:5 .... *let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.*

Beloved, God is willing to give anyone that discovered his/her lack of wisdom and summon courage to ask God for help in prayer (Heb. 4: 16), because it is in receiving the wisdom from above that your open doors is guaranteed.

*Remember this:* Heaven is real and hell is real. The choice of eternity is up to you, give your heart to Jesus Christ today!
*Prayer points:*
~ Father thank you for your word to me today,
~ Father, I acknowledge my lack of wisdom and I receive grace to seek for your wisdom today in Jesus name.
*Prophetic Declaration:*
~I prophesy the release of divine wisdom upon you now in the name of Jesus.
~ May the Lord equip you with wisdom to tackle every challenging situation that has kept your back on ground in the name of Jesus.

*Assignment ;* Do a personal assessment of your life in the light of the above evidence to find out your need for wisdom because God is willing to give wisdom to every one that ask Him.
