Fame may come from the spotlight of film, and wealth may follow the reach of television, but true mastery is forged where there are no second takes—on the stage.

World Theatre Day Webinar Recap.
Theme:Theatre and Culture of peace: Building bridges not borders.

Dr. Sam Uche Anyamele fta.(Nigeria) is a multiple award winning Nigerian actor, filmmaker, academic, and cultural ambassador known for his extensive work in Nollywood and contributions to education and social initiatives.

A veteran Nollywood Super Star, Thespian and scholar providing deep insight into the intersection of theatre and popular film genre.

Quote: “Peace in theatre practice is not abstract it is practical and it is faithful.”

The Insight: Dr. Sam Uche Anyamele fta. emphasized the praxis of peace. He argued that peace isn’t just a lofty concept to be discussed, but a “practical” methodology that must be applied within the discipline of theatre itself—through collaboration, ensemble work, and faithful representation of truth.

The Bridge: His focus is on the “building” aspect of the theme. Peace is a craft that requires constant, faithful work, much like a stage production, turning the stage into a literal testing ground for harmonious living.

World Theatre Day Webinar Recap.
Theme:Theatre and Culture of Peace: Building bridges not borders.

AJ Dagga Tolar (Nigeria) is a poet, author, an award winning Author, performing musician and activist whose life and work reflect the struggles and aspirations of the common man. Dagga Talor journey is a testament to resilience, creativity, and the transformative power of art. He will be, focusing on the role of the artist as a social conscience.

Quote: “At every point in time, we are a totality of everything that is alive.”

The Insight: Aj Dagga Tolar offered a philosophical and existential perspective. His quote suggests a radical interconnectedness—that an individual cannot be separated from the collective “life” of the world.

The Bridge: This perspective eliminates the concept of “borders” entirely. If we are a “totality” of everything alive, then any harm done to another through conflict is ultimately harm done to oneself. Theatre serves as the medium to remind us of this shared existence.
